Two things people often don’t appreciate about Conan if they have never actually read his stories: 1. I particularly like this one because of where it’s set (a sort of Fantasy Africa), because of its plot twists, and because toward the end we get to see that Conan also has a heart (which I find salutary), and not only three hundred pounds of muscle and a big sword.
