About this deal

I dusted my venerable GTX1080 and gave it a try in the setup with the replacement riser (used DDU before installing nvidia drivers) and no-go, same story. If you wanted to simplify access to the internal components, I would recommend removing the captive screws on the side panels as these will perform just fine. It takes all the community feedback and suggestions to heart in a well refined package that would look great on your desk, in an office, or in the living room. Kinda insane idea, but I am wondering if any 120mm radiator with a fan or two will fit (+short GPU like Asus GTX 970 Mini DCU II)?

Finance is only available to permanent UK residents aged >18, subject to status, terms and conditions apply. Unfortunately I can't do my own tests because I don't have a High-TDP graphics card (problems are reported starting at 180W). I would be happy to see reviews and build guides for other cases as well, instead of just before / after pics and a partlist. This incarnation optionally features our solid, sturdy and quiet Anode SFX PSU with UltraFlex cables to make your build experience even smoother. Fractal design supplies the Node 202 without any case fans (there is an 80mm fan in the PSU) and while you can add two 120mm fans in the graphics side of the case we choose not to do so. Silent PC Review has been providing expert advice and detailed reviews of PCs and peripherals since 2002. Having reviewed the ERA and now the Ridge chassis, it’s clear that Fractal’s manuals put everyone else to shame ( see for yourself here).

The Pixel Accelerator may also be only 47 mm high, thus falling below the graphics card two narrow 120 mm fan can be mounted. You can’t see it now, but behind the cloth mesh is a subtle white Power LED that is shaped like a regtangle, I’ll share that picture a little later in the article. The Node 202 ships with a multi-language user guide, a power cord, and an accessory box inside containing the necessary riser cards to install a video card, a handful of zip-ties, screws for mounting the motherboard and two 2. I'm not entirely opposed to a new case, but I am feeling challenged about putting it into my Node 202 because I can and I like the style of it.

Temperatures are now at 60C idle and little bit under 90 when gaming (fan at 60-65% on GPU which makes it quite loud). The open sides makes it easier to install the motherboard and plug in all the connectors, but if you need to add/service case fans, pulling the bottom off and reattaching it isn’t a fun experience.

this case could be amazing if the cover was made out of metal so that they could cut ventilation holes around the gpu.I ran Prime95 v287 to stress the CPU, and after about one run of the torture test with 2 threads, I stopped it, as the CPU temps were dipping into the 90's. Definitely think I'll need to remove the 120mm fans below the GPU, curious if anyone else has done similar with 2.
