The Octoling (Blue) amiibo is not identified by Splatoon, and is treated like a non- Splatoon amiibo. During the Final Fest arc, Pearl appears to represent her team, Team Chaos, and she and Marina once again provide the play-by-play report for the entire Splatfest. On 11 February 2018, amiibo figures for Pearl and Marina were announced. They were released on 13 July 2018. Once you start looking into the lore of the Splatoon series, it doesn't take long to realize that it takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. One of the newest amiibo outfits in Splatoon 3 finally gives you the look of someone who has survived a wave of catastrophic events and lived to tell the tale.

The Inkling has slightly dark skin (the fifth skin tone in Splatoon 3) with neon yellow hair (with a "Megalobraid" hairstyle), yellow irises with an orange ring around them, and classic shorts (like the default legwear in the original Splatoon). They wear a Tri-Shred Tee and a pair of Force ReBoots (two of the pieces of starting gear in Splatoon 3) and wield a Tri-Stringer. Kirby: Planet Robobot includes an amiibo feature that grants Kirby a copy ability depending on the character. The Inkling Boy, Girl, and Squid all grant access to the Poison ability for Kirby.
When you first scan the amiibo, the character may note that you’re not quite fresh enough to get their rewards. Rescan it after winning some Turf War games and you’ll get the shoes. After winning more Turf War games, you’ll get the top, and then the headgear. Although Pearl and Marina did not make appearances during Octo Canyon, they were the first to break the news of Callie and the Great Zapfish's disappearances. They also announced their rescue on Inkopolis News, fulfilling a request by "Freshly Fried Boy" to play Fresh Start over the credits.

If the player scans either of the Squid Sisters amiibo while in Inkopolis Plaza during Photo Mode, both of them will disappear from their seats inside the studio and the character that was scanned will spawn right next to the player.In Version 1.1.0 of Splatoon 3, the Octoling Boy had yellow ink on his Octobrush rather than reddish-pink (reddish-pink being the color of ink used everywhere else on the amiibo). Pearl makes two appearances in the Splatfest arc; once to announce the Funny Man VS Straight Man Splatfest, and another to provide the play-by-play report. Marina made a demo tape by herself with a half-broken keyboard on Mount Nantai before she met Pearl. In Splatoon 3, the Inkling Boy and Inkling Boy 2 amiibo again share the same dialogue and features, but the game differentiates between them. The rewards given by the original Inkling Boy amiibo are identical, minus the song.
