About this deal

I have been waiting for Xander and Kim’s story since Deviant King when Elsa befriended Kim on her first day of school at Royal Elite. Elsa saw a kindred soul in Kim, someone who was doing her best not to be noticed and was lonely like her. Though Elsa was targeted by Aiden and the rest of the four horsemen (the Kings of the school and the team’s football heros). It soon became apparent that Kimberly used to be in with those people but something occurred to change things and now she was hated at the school and Xander Knight who lives across the street from her was her main bully. Kim has been body shamed and bullied her whole life by her own mother and at school. Xander also played part in tormenting her too. They were close and best friends once but then something happened and Xan cut himself off from her. He was someone she really trusted, so when he pushed her away she thought it was cause of something she did in the past and has blamed herself since. The only reason she wakes up in the morning is ‘cause of her little brother Kir ( who was freaking ADORABLE ). She will do anything for him. She’s close to her Dad but he’s always away on business. The plot twist is the main reason why I devoured this book. It wasn't revealed until the near end of the story but to hell with it! I didn't see it coming. I never saw it coming. The author is that good. Period.

I also thought I’d never stop crying about Nana. That I’d cry like a princess in one of her books and the tears would kill me. I flip off those who slowly broke me, who turned me into this pathetic shell of a person. Those who took pleasure in igniting my breaking point and watched me as I fell. Those who threw me under the bus instead of pulling me to safety. Those who fed the fog and allowed it to rule my life." Since the moment Cole saw Silver cry in the park when they were kids, he decided that she was his and they both agreed to give each other all of their firsts. Also the chemistry between Xan and Kim started dwindling in quality, cause like I said, the tension wasn't there anymore. It was just the same cycle repeating again and again. Cole wants Silver. Silver tries to push him away with the same words again and again. The only person who saw Silver’s facade is Cole. Throughout the years he took some of her first at the same time beat her at everything just to piss her off. Piano was the only thing he let Silver win at but that ended when she got engaged to Aiden.

To be fair, she is very similar to the previous heroines before her, (Rina Kent loves to write heroines who can't control themselves for some reason,) And now, I am going to go reread this story again. Also side note no one asked for, their relationship dynamic was also reminiscent to one of my other all time favorite couple of hers in her book Misted. Full of hate stemmed out of a love too strong and a past you can’t change. If you’ve read it and than read this one, you’ll see why. If not, please read it! I love that book. I learned a British slang from this book. It's Wanker . It was really annoying because of the repetition of Wanker in this book. When I was just starting to read this I told myself that maybe this would be just a three-star read, because I don't like this genre. I don't like complicated conflicts in which I am sure no one can escape without a damage to the characters. I also don't liked the two main characters at first, when they are introduced to the other horsemen's story. They seemed so toxic and chaotic. ( Cole's word not mine). They were in each other's throat all the time; they were both stubborn, secretive, and proud- in short all of the traits I loath for a Main Character.

I Can’t Express enough, that if you need to try out one specific book from this series IN Audiobook - THIS IS THE ONE! This is my 5th book in the series, and all 5 books featured either a mentally ill mother figure, or a mother figure who absolutely cannot stand her child/children and want to end them lmao. Then after the revelation, they immediately jump into bed together, with us finding out he's a virgin, Broken Knight anyone? I mean, I'm glad he is, but that still doesn't excuse any of his previous behavior. We don't even get groveling. Zero. Nada. Nothing. He hates her the entire book, while her weak self does hardly anything, then they find out there is no reason to hate each other, they jump into bed, then they live happy ever after pretty much. She doesn't even demand an apology really. All she says was she was really hurt and it's not gonna go away, but it sure seems like it did exactly that. The only thing I liked about her was with Ronan and letting Xander suffer seeing them together. Everyone needs a Ronan in their life👏 My knight, she used to call me. Now, I’m a rusty one without armour or a sword. I abandoned being her knight to become War.~ bruh stfu why you so dramatic!? I clung to every bit of debris -anything- just for a measure of hope and an emotional life raft of sorts.
