I especially loved the addition of Paola's photos, and I'll try out the recipes and crafts soon. Her poetry, too, is very precious. She knows exactly the right thing to say. She doesn’t mind talking about what happened to David. She said I could talk to her whenever I wanted to. She understood. I even asked her what David looked like."
If police were looking for footprints and it had rained within an hour or two, it was explained that the rain would have washed the prints away! Surely a reader could deduce this without a verbal teaching aide? Intertwined with Jan's tale, is a story of a couple, Ian and Emma, who have lost one baby during childbirth and just lost another during a home birth. This isn't just a case of a tragic stillbirth. There was something horribly wrong with both of their children, and Ian is determined to understand why. greengrocers who have traded in Norwich for generations and almost all our meat is provided by local farms. A great chilling read that had me imagining all sorts as I sat in the dark reading this on my own!!! Danielle Steel´s characters stand out of their charm, feeling, understanding, and strength of character, even if the protagonist Cooper Winslow behaves like an absolute narcissus, selfish, and to the limit of arrogance. But in the course of the plot, a clear development of his character for the better, for thoughtfulness can be seen. He changes from a big child to an adult man, has insight, and becomes a real figure of sympathy. But Danielle Steel also gave her other characters a wonderful development. And so, the reader experiences a fabulous journey through the various feelings, thoughts, and worries of the various characters. Danielle Steel wrote the moving plot of this novel sensitively and with simple words, but precisely because of this extremely effective. There are pleasant, sad, and melancholy passages, but the positive always comes through. Danielle Steel only hinted at love and passion, but the words she used for them leave the reader in no doubt what is happening, and your own imagination can be wonderfully brought in. Some folks are discovering that a great way to get me to read a book with them is to simply say "I'm thinking about reading this." And maybe the impression wasn't to get me to read it, but they win anyway! I'll be genuinely intrigued enough, especially if my library has the book. Even more so when they have the Libby version of the book.Jeffrey and his wife were a young couple , married and deeply in love. She started suffering from migrains, so she went to the doctor and was diagnosed with cancer and died two months later. Jeffrey is deeply depressed from her sudden death. He is trying to desperatly find a reason to keep going on, so he moves into Coops gate house looking for a fresh start. For one thing, the author is simply too prolific for quality to enter the equation. She has a good working idea of how these things are done and plies the formula. Flat writing and flat characters and a thoroughly predictable plot included.
For anyone looking for some peace, soft advice, if you're a cottagecore lover, or just interested, you will love this book. This is one of those books, once started, the reader will not want to put down. The atmosphere is dark .. with an isolated cottage set alongside a forest, devoid of light and full of shadows. Well written, the story line is positively full of many twists and turns that lead to an unexpected conclusion. Something that Paola said that really resonated with me was this excerpt under the section titled "You Are Worthy of Living a Beautiful Life" As ever, I'll update when I either fall off the ladder through utter boredom of listening or the book is finished. Use mindfulness for healing and fulfillment. January 2023 - I started reading this in conjunction with Youheum Son's Heal Your Living, as they seem like complementary reads. for 1 MONDAYS! The talented team at The Cottage has put in tremendous effort to curate a mouth-watering menu that is sure to delight your taste buds. First, the writing: It's gorgeous and lyrical, and it teased me into becoming more and more relaxed as I listened to it. There is nothing stressful about Paola's writing. It is lovely to listen to, along with being enthralling. I very much hope that Paola writes a fantasy novel one day. Perhaps about a girl living in the woods, surrounded by faeries and her trustful dog and bunny. Meanwhile Mark and Jimmy become great friends. They both help each other get over their grief. How a Strong bond of Friendship can help people tide over their problems is wonderfully shown.
