About this deal

Society has a very covert way of handing us the "misfits", condemning the "losers", idolizing the "beautiful", alienating the "strange." But here's a heads up: These describing words have no basis in reality. How do you feel about the world around you? Think about what you believe to be good and bad — not what anyone else has told you. Start trusting your own judgment and decision-making processes, mistakes and all. We all make mistakes, but through mistakes we find ourselves growing, learning, and reaching our real selves. i agree with what the author of this thread has written..as it makes perfect sense..but..i also believe that you not only have to reflect on your own past..but on the past of mankind as a whole..as you HAVE to deal with other people who have..for the want of a better word..being “brainwashed” by centuries of schemers and power hungry individuals..no need to extrapolate.. I spent much of my childhood with various illnesses, and I saw how it affected my development and life experiences in deleterious ways.

Yoga is good for both your physical and mental wellbeing. It can help with strength, flexibility and balance, and just about anyone can get started. It’s a practice that’s around 5,000 years old, so there’s plenty of tips and information around, too! Yoga with Adriene is a YouTube channel that can guide you on your relaxation journey. Knitting is one of the most timeless crafts around, and it’s had somewhat of a resurgence of late. As well as being incredibly chill, it’s also a practical pastime that can yield hats, scarves, tea cosies, and more. All you need to get started is some knitting needles and some yarn (worsted, medium-weight is good for beginners!). From there, you can try some beginner projects to get a feel for it. 6. Gardening Really, this exercise has made me see things differently. It’s like… of course you feel bad if you’re not in alignment with your values. Duh.

How many core values should you end up with? Too few and you won’t capture all the unique dimensions of your being. Too many and you’ll forget them or won’t take advantage of them. If you feel like you’re in a bit of a rut and you definitely don’t want to spend time watching yet another series, perhaps it’s time to find a new hobby? It can be difficult to find new things that you could be passionate about, but don’t worry! We’ve got you covered. Our list of 40 new hobby ideas is here to get you motivated and inspired to try something different. From relaxing, to energising, to expressive, there’s sure to be something for just about everyone. Find a new hobby – what do you like? For those who like graphical representations of data, data visualisation could be the new hobby you’ve been searching for. It involves creating images, charts, graphs, and maps that show people what certain data sets mean. It’s a skill that allows you to flex your creative and analytical muscles at the same time. 26. Graphic design What’s LARPing?’ we hear you cry. Well, it’s an acronym for live-action roleplaying … If you’re still not sure, it’s a real-life fantasy game where you dress up as your character and play as them. Think Dungeons & Dragons but on a grander scale, and with far better costumes. 37. Puzzles Even before I did the table at the end to rank how I was aligning myself with each value, I started to recognise in my day to day life how my activities made me feel good or bad in accordance with how aligned I was with my values – If I’m lazing about, I feel bad because I’m not in alignment with growth or learning. If I’ve been somehow drawn into scrolling through Facebook (which happens rarely these days but it still happens) I become aware that I’m feeling a sense of anxiety or pain or need for a better life, because I see everyone’s “amazing” photos – it reminds me that I’m conflicting with my value of PRESENCE and CALM. When I play video games without having exercised or done any work I start to feel restless because I’m conflicting with my values of HEALTH and WELLBEING and GROWTH and INTELLIGENCE/LEARNING all at once… But at the same time if I focus only on those – health and wellbeing and growth and intelligence – I start to feel soul-less because I am foregoing my value of ART and CREATION – something which video games, movies and TV shows have often provided me…

Mahatma Gandhi once said “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” In addition to improving our mental and physical health and lengthening our lifespan, generosity can enhance one’s sense of purpose, giving our lives more value and meaning to us. Studies even show that people get more joy from giving than from getting. If we want to find our way in life, it’s beneficial to practice generosity as a mental health principle and take on a compassionate and attitude toward ourselves and others. People are generally happier when they create goals that go beyond themselves. These individuals show care and concern for others and practice generosity. As you go about your life, try to maintain what Dr. Daniel Siegel refers to as a COAL attitude, in which you are curious, open, accepting and loving toward yourself and your personal journey. I was attending an intensive 4-day seminar devoted to learning about what motivates people. Personal values were a central theme of the event. The greatest and most important adventure of our lives is discovering who we really are. Yet, so many of us walk around either not really knowing or listening to an awful inner critic that gives us all the wrong ideas about ourselves. We mistakenly think of self-understanding as self-indulgence, and we carry on without asking the most important question we’ll ever ask: Who am I really? As Mary Oliver put it, “what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” I want to hate some people. It was all about a huge change in operations where a few key people needed me out of the way. They are destroying that business AS THIS is being written, but they have me to blame for that also I guess.
