About this deal

This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I like a stronger perfume for an evening scent. Aldi have done a good job in trying to replicate the smell though, and I think if you haven't worn the Jo Malone version before, you'd be impressed with the dupe. I couldn’t get my hands on the eau de toilette, but I did get the body mist - and it didn’t disappoint. The first thing I noticed was the smell as soon as I took the lid off before I'd even sprayed the product. Straight away it smelt very familiar, so this was a positive first impression. Where to buy: Blossom can be bought online from Superdrug. You can buy Thierry Mugler’s Alien from Boots. While I’m usually comfortable in the knowledge that I’ve used Alien in the morning and it’ll last all day, I took to carrying Blossom around with me as it seemed to fade after an hour or two.

Fragrance lovers rejoice! Aldi’s popular health & beauty brand, Lacura, is welcoming two opulent fragrances to its cult line-up – Hotel Collection Tobacco & Vanilla Eau de Parfum and Hotel Collection Sandalwood & Jasmine Eau de Parfum. The supermarket chain also has a range of perfumes, which look and smell strangely familiar. Aldi's 'Hotel Collection' perfumes have a similar vibe to the Jo Malone fragrance range, but come in at a tiny fraction of the price of course. The two additions drop as Aldi’s cruelty-free perfumes continue to make waves across social media, with searches for #AldiPerfume hitting a staggering 998.0K views on TikTok alone. And with so many to choose from on the shelves of your local Boots, Superdrug and supermarkets, where do you even start? There’s a host of fragrances to choose from in the lineup, each an apparent dupe of a high end product. I love Superdug’s own brand products as they’re so affordable, and each item is cruelty free. How can you be sure they’re actually similar scents to the original? Do they last as long or smell as strong as you’d like? Rating: 1/5 Aldi's Hotel Collection No. 14 Velvety Rose Eau De Parfum Dupe for: Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud

I don’t think I’m quite ready to abandon Alien, but Superdrug’s Blossom certainly makes a decent stand in. Is there anything more comforting than the scent of your favourite perfume? A decent dupe of it, maybe. With decent perfumes being pretty pricey, I’m often on the hunt for a good dupe so was keen to try Superdrug’s Layering Lab range. My go-to perfume is Thierry Mugler’s Alien and has been for the last few years. It’s rare that I’ll deviate from it, but I recently came across a good dupe that’s useful on the days I don’t fancy wearing my good perfume.

Isoeugenol; Benzyl Salicylate. 1- (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydro-2,3,8,8-tetramethyl-2-naphthyl) Ethanone; 1,3-benzodioxole-5-carbaldehyde; Alpha-iso-methylionone;Linalool. Blossom is just as floral and feels just as luxurious as Alien, but certainly doesn’t last as long. With that in mind, we decided to put a range of perfume dupes, said to be similar to high street and designer favourites to the test, to see how they held up. Here's the results: Layering Lab Blossom Body Mist Dupe for: Thierry Mugler’s Alien I opted for Superdrug’s Layering Lab Body Mist in the scent Paradise, which is meant to be a dupe of Paco Rabanne’s popular fragrance Olympea. Aldi is certainly know for its dupes, from its Cuthbert the Caterpillar controversy and 'Mint Bubbly' take on Aeros, to its Lacura range, which has versions of best-selling beauty products by Liz Earle, Nivea, Pixi and more.

Designer perfumes are a wonderful thing – but let’s be honest, they don’t come cheap. So it’s not surprising that Aldi perfume dupes have become some of the most popular products in the supermarket’s surprisingly vast
