About this deal

The Reax Lights can be used for a range of applications from sports performance training, small group X, personal training and PT/OT therapy sessions, physical education, sport camps. To upload the code first open the sketch for device one I've attached here. Connect an USB FTDI adapter to the serial programming points. Once again, these connections can either be pressed onto the PCB or connected by soldering the pins or female headers that have to be desoldered later. In Create, you can make your own activities. You can choose the lighting style that best suits your activity (so the pods will light in a sequence, randomly, all at once, etc), give your activity a name, set the duration and number of players, and more. A toggle on the upper left side of the Discover tab lets you switch between BlazePod's preloaded activities and ones you have created and saved. The suspension system of the reaction light providers is very variable. For example, the BlazePod cannot be hung up and can only be laid down on the ground. The BlazePod is already very expensive. To be able to hang them up, you have to buy extra accessories for about €15 extra per pod. At the beginning of my search for the right reaction training lamps, I initially had my eye on the BlazePod. After much hesitation, I then bought 4 BlazePod lights. I was under the impression that it had two sensors. Both touch and motion sensors. But to my disappointment, the BlazePod unfortunately only had a touch function. I also tried out the Reaction X. I found it very cool that they had 4 different sensor functions. Namely soft touch, strong touch, close distance (8-12 cm), far distance (30-40 cm). After a lot of practice I noticed that it is really nice to have different sensors. So that you can do many different types of training by varying the sensors.

Because reaction lights are usually pricey, a lot of people are looking for alternatives or are looking for second-hand reaction lights. I would advise against buying second-hand because unfortunately you don't know what your predecessor did with it and you can't look inside the lamps. It is of course all technical electronics and you have to be an expert to see if everything is still intact. Most reaction lamps are also not completely waterproof. Therefore, you never know for sure if you will take them over from someone with possible water damage. The (Apple, Android, Windows) may be available on certain products with programs for you to follow and create. Furthermore, I noticed with the BlazePod that you sometimes had to hit the pod very hard before it noticed that it was being touched. This meant that I sometimes had to touch the pod several times before it registered. Personally, I find that very frustrating when I'm doing a challenge against a training buddy. I like a challenge and I like to win 😁 What is the advantage of using reaction lights? Because the prices between reaction training lights vary a lot, it is smart to calculate how much you will pay per training light. This way, you can compare what is the best/cheapest choice for you. See also if you need to buy accessories for the workouts you want to do. This will prevent you from spending more money than you had planned. How do you turn on a reaction lamp? Most reaction training lights can be used with virtually all phones. In any case, most providers have an app available in the AppStore (Apple) as well as in the Google Play Stort (Android). Reaction training lights are training lights with special motion sensors. It is useful to know that there is a lot of difference between the various brands of reaction lights. Most of them have one sensor. Some of them register when there has been movement past the sensor. While others register touch, when you tap the lamp (vibration). And finally, you have the reaction training lamps with multiple sensor functions. While I was waiting for the pods to charge, I browsed the preloaded activities in the app to see what I might like to do. First I looked at single-player home activities for balance, core, flexibility, and mobility that do not require additional accessories. I went through the list and starred a couple that looked interesting, including Agility Test, One-Leg Balance, Plank Challenge, Plank Step, Reach Over Rotation Crunches, Squat Touch, and The Yellow Pod Road. When I train alone, this is one of the most fun training options for me. It is very similar to the "distracting mode", except that you have to pay attention to which colour lights up the least each time. For example, if the light is 3x blue, twice yellow and 1x red, you have to tap the red one. This ensures that you have to think twice during your training. Definitely a must! A wireless LED light system, created to make any workout session interactive, training the responsive ability through visual and sudden stimulations. Flexible, versatile, full of accessories, each light is equipped with magnets for a rapid connection to multiple surfaces. The WiFi tablet controller enables the trainer and the user to choose customized training programs by using Reaxing sudden dynamic interferences, the only technology capable of unpredictably altering the motor gesture. The Reax Lights can be used for a range of applications from sports performance training, small group X, personal training and PT/OT therapy sessions, physical education, sports camps. They are built to last. The casing is designed to withstand intense usage without sustaining any damage, the LED underneath is incredibly well protected. Reaction lights are usually very easy to charge. Almost every supplier provides USB cables for fast charging of the lights. With which phones can they be used?I wish the app offered videos showing how to do each activity, because sometimes it's hard to figure out based on the written description. For example, for the One-Leg balance, it says to place the pods in a square on the floor, stand in the center, then, "tap out the lit Pod with your raised foot and look for the next Pod to light up." It says to, "repeat until the activity ends without the raised foot touching the ground." I wasn't sure if I was supposed to stay in one place, or if I was allowed to hop around on one leg to tap out the pods. Because two of the pods were behind me, I did hop around, but I wasn't exactly sure if I was doing the exercise right. You can also turn one-person activities into competitions by letting each person have a turn and comparing your scores at the end. We did this with the Agility Test and the Plank Challenge. Remember how I said I only managed 14 hits the first time I did the Plank Challenge correctly? When my boyfriend did it for the first time, he got 31 hits in the same amount of time (20 seconds). Inspired, I knew I could do better. The next time, I logged an impressive (if I do say so myself) 36 hits. Then, he had to try again, and managed to eke out 37 hits before the buzzer sounded. BlazePod can even make planks fun, which is saying a lot. Conclusions When the bootloader is burned to the microcontroller, an FTDI converter can be used to upload the actual Arduino code. The use of different coloured lights and the position of the satellites allow for the design of training sessions which are suitable for sport preparation and for functional neuromotor recovery in rehabilitation phases.
