About this deal

In an undocumented feature, Starscream's tail-fin is attached via a 5 mm post on its underside, and can be detached to reveal three additional peg-holes, with two of these peg-holes being just the right distance to accommodate the two pegs found on the underside of the combined assault cannons/rifle, with the tail-fin pegging on the rifle's top peg-hole. Solidly built, looks great in both modes, works with the Siege effects parts and has a fun, involved transformation. The butterfly joint lets you get him in a more natural one-armed shooting poses…if you can use the term “natural” for describing a plastic robot. The first of numerous reissues of the original Generation 1 Starscream toy in the 21st century, this Japanese release of the figure included functional spring-loaded launchers, and was also simultaneously available as three different exclusive redecos, listed below.

Despite still using the numbering system of Hasbro's Masterpiece line begun in 2013, Starscream was co-branded as part of the Generations line.

His design and transformation scheme is heavily based on his 2006 Classics figure while adding points of articulation the earlier figure did not have such as pivoting ankles, a more expressive ball-jointed head, and hinges that allow the wings to fold backward in robot mode. This was only available to those who lived in Japan, but since each box flap had a unique code, there was no household limit to how many one could redeem.

Released in the second wave of Authentics Titan Changers, Starscream transforms from a long, flat robot into a long, flat jet. So, everyone’s compared this guy to 2006 Starman for about 3 billion years now, but I think it’s fairer to compare him to the other recent voyager Starscream from Siege. Part of the first wave of Kre-O sets, Starscream can be built in either robot or red, white, and blue G1-inspired fighter jet. However, the arm design feels like it complicated things for no reason since there are multiple hinge joints to extend it for robot mode. He comes with all his original accessories, as well as a gold-chromed version of the "Jamming Trident" solitarium weapon that came with Wingstun. Despite its age, the mold has been frequently reused for various Seeker characters in the years since its first use, though its last few uses have exhibited visible signs of mold degredation.

Make a Transformer from the line that has some of the most complex figures ever cast ENTIRELY out of translucent plastic. Alluding to the Beast Wars episode " Possession", Starscream is partnered with Waspinator, who can transform into a wasp, a robot with 3 mm-compatible hands, and a gun with 5mm handle. The first Universe toy of Starscream is a redeco of Cybertron Legends Thundercracker, transforming into an Su-37 fighter jet. I was unsure if I preferred the proportions of this guy to the 2006 deluxe but I think it works better. The toy's bio makes a rare fictional reference to Machine Wars, describing the events of the series in the past tense. This mold was, of course, redecoed into Smallest Transforming versions of Skywarp and Thundercracker, and retooled into Thrust. This figure was re-released in 2017 in a minor variant of the 2014 version's packaging (including the original product code number and barcode) that now lacked the reference to the non-existing "Reveal the Shield" gimmick. The toy also now sports a large "CE" mark on the inside of one of the tailfins and number on the inner right leg, declaring the toy meets European product safety requirements.
