About this deal

Overall, the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case has a sleek and modern design. The main structure is manufactured with stainless steel whilst the exterior panelling is either brushed aluminium, mesh, or tempered glass. Contributing to the smooth aesthetic, the power button wraps around two edges of the chassis, whilst the reset and RGB buttons remain on the side. This incredible case is available in three colours, with this model being the white version. Inside and out, this PC case has a clean and bright style, with silver screws to prevent interrupting the look. RGB LED Strip The quiet Seta Q1 is at a disadvantage here, since we chose to front-mount our cooler to keep that case's top-panel noise baffle in place (in keeping with the purpose of that case).

In terms of voltage-regulator temperature, the O11D EVO again barely trails the fan-equipped gaming cases... Since it's designed to be equipped with the user's choice of hardware, including fans, the Lian Li 011D EVO presented a slight testing challenge in terms of comparing it to cases delivered with a loadout of their own fans. It overcame that challenge by flowing sufficient air in "exhaust only" mode using nothing more than the same closed-loop cooler that we'd used to evaluate those other cases. To put this case through its cooling paces we will be using a test system consisting of an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU, Sapphire RX6800 XT graphics and an SSD. This system allows us to produce a substantial amount of heat and effectively test the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO‘s cooling capabilities. On paper the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO appears to have changed very little from the original O11D. You can now install a 280mm radiator in the side location and there are mounts for nine storage drives, rather than six. As you will see in our video, the devil very much lies in the detail as you can flip the case from right hand to left hand and can also install a range of accessories that include two different GPU mounts. The evolution continues, with the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case. Taking modular to the next level, this mid-tower chassis can be configured to one of two modes – Normal or Reverse. On top of this, there are multiple positions for I/O panel to be placed, and three orientations for your GPU. Choose from horizontal, vertical, or even upright to fully show off your gaming hardware. Thanks to the mesh panels and spacious interior, airflow has been maximised to the extreme and there is ample support for either AiO or custom water cooling. Plus, with its intelligent dual-chamber design, cable management is easy and the interior will stay looking sleek. Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case White at a Glance:All-In-One Affordable, easy to install, maintenance-free liquid cooler with class-leading performance The EK-Quantum Reflection² PC-O11D EVO D5 PWM D-RGB is a custom water cooling reservoir, routing, and pump solution that seamlessly fits into the front of the case. This waterway is also equipped with four innovative push-in ports that come with female G1/4″ threaded adapters. The idea is that a user can assemble the whole radiator + fittings and use these push-in adapters to simply slide it into the distro plate. Plenty of space is available in the O11D EVO XL for accommodating modern, powerful, and large components. There’s also sufficient cooling with the support for 3 × 420mm radiators. All 3 sides can hold up to a maximum of 420mm radiator. The glass side of the O11D EVO is slightly quieter than the Cooler Master's, while the vented side is slightly noisier. Both fall within earshot of the quiet-design Seta Q1, while the Corsair gets penalized for having more powerful fans than either the HAF 500 or Seta Q1.

Even though the O11D EVO has no fans of its own, it still flows enough air through our radiator to place between the quiet-design SilverStone Seta Q1 and two fan-equipped gaming cases, the Cooler Master HAF 500 and the Corsair iCUE 5000T... Still, we'd suggest you ideally add fans to the bottom mount, the side mount, or both. The Lian Li is, after all, designed to hold up to three large radiators. And because of the extreme glass visibility, it practically begs for LED fans galore, whether mounted straight on the case or on radiators. The O11 is designed for more than just adding a few fans, though. We'd recommend a more elaborate build with three 120mm intake fans on the bottom, since that's where the dust filter is located, plus some kind of radiator and fan combo on the top to aid in voltage-regulator cooling.

The Overclockers Difference

We loaded the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO with 620W of gaming hardware and it performed superbly. While we expected the Mesh front panel would help performance it actually made very little difference. When you consider we had fans in the floor, side, roof and rear of the case, perhaps it shouldn't have come as much of a surprise that the front panel did not act as a restriction. Thermally the EVO is a masterclass in how to do things right. Closing Thoughts Should you prefer vertical or, the more traditional, horizontal mounting, then AiO cooling is the best option. There is support for three radiators and up to ten fans across the chassis. In both Normal and Reverse modes, up to a 360mm radiator can be mounted on the top, side, and bottom, with the latter two having support for 280mm models, also. Depending on radiator size, up to three 120mm or two 140mm fans can be installed in the same areas, with the tenth being a 120mm fan on the rear. Dual-Chamber, Sleek Interior KitGuru Says: The Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO is superb and may well be the best case of 2022 (and it's still 2021). If you want more external ports than this, there's also an Additional I/O kit, which can install in any of the three previously mentioned places at the bottom of the case. It delivers two more USB-A ports and one more USB-C port. Just note that you'll need ample front-panel connectors/headers to use both the standard and additional IO kit, as both use one USB 3.0 header and one USB 3.1 front-panel connector.

Keeping your options open, the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case is compatible with both air and water cooling. Depending on how you configure certain hardware and panels will dictate the best cooling solution for your build. The good news is that the core chassis is very good indeed and allows you to build a high end PC that is fairly conventional and which functions well. The case is not especially large and has excellent thermals along with very good cable management.
