About this deal

Aldi’s Mamia range of baby products has established itself as a firm favourite among budget-conscious parents and these extra sensitive wipes are no exception. They do feature an unusually-shaped tab opening too, which makes it very easy to control how many you use at any one time. She has a keen interest in a range of topics, from potty training and nutrition to baby names and maternity fashion. Having used Aldi Mamia products with my boys over the years and using a lot more of them this year with baby Freddie, I was really pleased to hear that Aldi have just this week, launched new products to their popular Aldi Mamia range. In our poll of 120 Netmums members, 98% said they'd recommend Mamia Extra Sensitive Baby Wipes to other mums and dads.

We started using these wipes after discovering how much cheaper they were than our usual ones and with similar ingredients. Always ask the questions – there are no silly questions when it comes to the health of you and your baby!Water Wipes are more expensive but I found them way more effective than anything else so like a pp said you use less of them per change. They have a real luxurious feel to them – which may seem like a strange thing to say about a wet wipe – but they leave your baby smelling delicious and feeling super soft to touch. It’s important to heed this warning - the biggest ever in-depth investigation of sewer blockages in the UK, carried out by Water UK in 2017, found that non-flushable wet wipes made up around 90% of the material causing sewer blockages. From spilt drinks (it can happen at any age) and dribbled food during weaning, to newborn nappy explosions and milk leaks, it’s a braver mum than I who would leave home without at least a travel pack of wet wipes in their bag for emergencies. Vic Brown, also on our Facebook group, added: “Cheap and cheerful – always on a three for two offer.

The resealable plastic clip is also really useful for keeping them moist and they can be used on sensitive skin, as well as being soft enough even for newborn babies. The lift-up flap makes them easy to open and extract and while expensive, the natural moisturising properties of the coconut oil mean you’re unlikely to need to use anything else on your baby’s skin. Freddie is eating a mixture of foods with him being able to pick up foods and eat for himself as well as me spoon feeding him the wetter foods. With my first we were told to only use water and cotton balls to begin with, think it was for the first 3 or 4 weeks then moved onto Mamia wipes.I used water wipes on my daughter until she was 6 weeks and then went to Mamia Extra Sensitive but wondered how the Mamia would be on a newborn?
