The Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo look like reference design true-wireless earbuds. The pebble-shaped charge case has a shiny, cheap plastic finish. Aside from the rubber port covering its micro-USB charge port, it’s about as unassuming as you’ll find. We also found it inconvenient that you can’t adjust the volume directly with the device. Instead, you’ll have to use your paired smartphone to control the sounds. Their Bluetooth connection is great, giving you the freedom to walk around the house without worrying too much about drops or stutters. When talking about battery life/playtime, average playtime of up to 8 – 9 hours on a single charge. Total playtime with charging case lasts up to almost 35 hours, that great for a long flight. It’s also come with the feature of fast charging: 10 minutes of charging gets additional 1.5 hours of playtime. How The Life A1’s Call Quality? Each earbud has a small LED light that flashes in red or white color. It usually blinks white when pairing and when they’re on standby mode. When you’re using them, the blinking stops.

Charger failure. Same as above, try different charger, one known to work, with a cable known to work. Ports may get clogged so be sure what is plugging into the Neo case is verified to be charging fast something else (e.g. phone). The custom Graphene drivers offer decent enough tonal balance. Listening to orchestral arrangements the highs, mids and lows are suitably separated and offer enough detail for casual listening. Stereo image is non-existent, but what do you expect at this price? Soundcore by Anker has been recognized in the market for producing high-performance, high-quality earbuds and headsets in the market in a very relatively low price range. The IPX7 waterproof Anker Life A1 Bluetooth earphones come with superb stereo sound quality and bass. Also with a similar look to the Apple Airpods, the FASSME Wireless Headphones feature smart touch, so you can easily answer or hang up calls and pause your music. They're water-resistant to protect against sweat and rain — and the portable charging box has a battery life of up to 30 hours.The earbuds are equipped with long battery life. Soundcore by Anker Life A1 earbuds can operate for 9 hours on a single charge. On top of that, it offers 35 hours of complete playtime through the case. Now, the Liberty Neo does have a decent mid-bass slam, which gives a steady thump in especially more modern music genres such as dance, pop, and hip-hop. Yet, it doesn't go as deep as on the other Soundcore models. It can rumble at times, but it doesn't reach the darkest tones, the deepest depths. Apart from all this, we appreciate the earbuds' amped-up bass and the fact the set is IPX7 waterproof. In fact, they’re resistant to sweat, rain, and water, making it an excellent choice for active and outdoorsy folks, too! What we don’t like about Anker Soundcore Liberty Neo: Buds themselves can hold up to 3.5 hours of battery life, with the charging case adding an extra 19 hours (24 in total). In our test, we got around 5 hours out of them. This is a better battery life than expected but still somewhat average compared to the competition. Thankfully the case isn’t too big: you can easily take it with you.

Overall, we felt it was easy to use them, pair them, put them in, and wear them, with overall comfort being one of the sets' strong suits! Battery life Cable failure. Try different charging cable, find one you know works good (charges properly something else). Leave it in for many hours. We also wouldn’t advise using them during extremely vigorous exercise or swimming, either. Depending on how well they fit you, they may or may not fall out. So, play it by ear and see how comfortable you feel wearing them during these activities before you lose one. The audio quality is pretty good, considering the price range. They are slightly bassy, but not as strong as best bass earbuds. The low end has a good punch, but it isn’t very fast or detailed. The latter is showing mostly in progressive music or metal, but it works just fine with EDM and other popular genres.Pairing for the first time is also a breeze. All you have to do is to put both earbuds out of the case. This initiates the pairing mode, which makes them visible in your phone’s Bluetooth search menu. These support only SBC and AAC. This is quite fair for their price point, and even though they don’t have aptX, they still perform well in terms of video delay on Android devices. Is Video Delay a Problem? Anker Life A1 comes with three custom modes. In other words, the earbuds provide you with three special modes that can not only enhance your music, podcast, or audiobook listening experience but also let you enjoy Bass Booster modes and parties. Like the Galaxy Buds, the Echo Buds’ motherboard is folded around a plastic housing where the button-cell battery resides. A few annoying aspects of this set are the volume control and single-use options. If you want to adjust the volume, you have to do so via your paired device, not the earbuds. Additionally, you can only use the right earbud by itself.
