About this deal

Olynder is a dangerous mage, able to cast and unbind two spells per battle round, and wields the Staff of Midnight, a melee weapon with a respectable Rend of -2 and two damage. But, as with lesser Nighthaunt commanders, her main use is as a force multiplier. These are: Kroak Green (24-29), Poxwalker (24-30), Targor Rageshade (24-31), Mortarion Grime (24-32), Tyran Blue (24-33), Berserker Bloodshade (24-34), and Soulblight Grey (24-25) All you do to make your own glaze is to add a medium to the paint you want to turn into a glaze. That’s it! We hope you’ve made room on your hobby desk, because 25 new Contrast paints are arriving. These drastically increase the available spectrum of vivid hues and tones, from the ultra-bright Magmadroth Orange to the ghostly Dreadful Visage. Nighthaunt Gloom and Hexwraith Flame also make the jump from Technical to Contrast paints. Seven New Shades and a Reformulated Shade Range

There’s also some room to play with the color of your undercoat. Anything darker than a light yellow or green probably won’t fly, but there’s some potential for cool effects with layering Hexwraith Flame over those colors. Nighthaunt Gloom might be a bigger ask, as the darker shade seems to rely on more pigment than either Nihilakh Oxide or Hexwraith Flame, meaning you won’t get the same effect. Paint the Metals– By doing this you’re giving the eye something else to look at. I recommend rusty weapons. Start with a brown, splotch paint a metal color on them, and hit it with a wash (nuln oil or a brown).

Painting Drazhar

What a medium does it thins out the paint while keeping the viscosity. In other words, it thins the paint and keeps the color consistent. Two of them came out in tandem with Nighthaunt release day: the slate grey-blue Nighthaunt Gloom and the bright snot green Hexwraith Flame. Just like Nihilakh Oxide, they’re really cool paints which combine simplicity with great outcomes at your workstation. He Slimed Me Fast forward to the Age of Sigmar: Soul Wars release and the Nighthaunt army. To make for ease of painting, and to allow greater variety for those drawn to the spectral Nighthaunt, Games Workshop released two more paints like Nihilakh Oxide, this time geared primarily as ghost paints. Dip your brush into the glaze to load it into the bristles. You don’t want too much because you don’t want pooling. Well folks, that’s all I’ve got for the Nighthaunt Hobby Tips and Painting. I hope you find this useful with your own Nighthaunts!

With no solid physical form, Nighthaunt can retreat from combat and then charge in the same turn. They can all also fly, allowing them to move over terrain and models without hindrance. Their movement shenanigans can even begin before the first movement phase thanks to the Vanishing Phantasms rule. This allows you to remove three units from the battlefield at the end of deployment and put them into an ambush reserve, ready to enter play anywhere more than nine inches from all enemy units. They’re all also fast, most of them having a movement speed of eight inches or more. I decided to make it a bit more complicated and combine all these paints. So, first, let’s apply Nighthaunt Gloom. All over the model. The last classic Chaos Space Marine to step out of the Eye of Terror is the Aspiring Champion miniature. Festooned with abhorrent details and wielding two cruel blades, he’s ready to slaughter foes in the name of whichever Ruinous Power you pledge allegiance to.The great part of a glaze is that it’s a very translucent paint, meaning you can see the previous layer through it. So, you can make subtle changes to something.

There’s no better way to try out these new Shade and Contrast paints than by using them over the new White Scar Spray. Designed by Citadel technicians as the best white Spray ever, it goes on smoothly with a bright white finish with no hassle, an ideal starting point for any miniature with white armour or bright colours. Let’s say you’re painting some zombies and you want some interesting skin tones. We’ve all seen various zombies in movies, TV, comics, etc. You’ll notice that the skin tones on zombies tends to lean towards colors like green, purple, greys, etc. All colors that give the impression of something dead. To accomplish that you could paint the skin on the zombie some really light color, a very pallid look. You could then apply a thin glaze to give the skin to shift the skin tone a bit towards green, purple, etc.

Wait for the model to completely dry. I’m repeating that on purpose because it’s super important. Once the model is dry apply the shade all over. Kinda like the previous step. After that, wait for the model to completely dry… The spooky ghostly nature of the paint would be advantageous to Necrons as an immortal species and would also suit with the unearthly appearance of the Chaos Daemons. In the end, the decision comes down to personal preference and army vision. Hexwraith Flame Colour Schemes & Combinations Most of the time, I will mix at a ratio of about 2 parts medium to 1 part paint. If I want a more subtle effect then I’ll simply add more medium. If you want a stronger glaze then use less medium.
