The back of the X-wing is one of my favorite angles of the starfighter, and it looks equally splendid here – as if it was ripped off the screen. UCS X-Wing Starfighter will be released on 1 May 2023 for LEGO VIPs, and will be part of the massive 2023 LEGO Star Wars Day campaign, which will net you 2x VIP Points, and a whole raft of Star Wars-related GWPs. The deflector shield generator is represented by a 3×3 Technic knob; this is also what activates “attack mode” for the wings.

These sets offer a concise building experience, making them suitable for quick builds or as collectible items for fans of the Star Wars universe. The only thing worth noting is that the 4 clear bricks I used as stands do not come with this set, those are from my personal collection. As a town/CITY collector this set gives me easy access to parts and color that I dont usually have or can't easily acquire.This reminds me of the quality of minis I've come to expect from Legostein, who is a master of mini building, I wonder if he sold a design to TLG? It's a mini and should be reviewed as one, of course you aren't getting any minifig's, and the piece count is going to be low. Parts: 7/10 If you read my review of 30050 you'll notice this got a higher rating, simply because you get more parts, and those shiny metal finished pieces are a plus.

There’s also gaps between the center bodywork and the engines, but this space is needed for the engines to open up, so it’s trickier to get rid of. This model features gear-operated folding wings, opening cockpit with space for one pilot, space for an astromech droid, and a stand for display.

The logos are on all four corners, while the model itself is displayed at a side angle which isn’t the best view of the model, in my opinion. Registered participating builders were given the LEGO pieces needed to assemble the Mini X-Wing Fighter set.
