About this deal
I am curious about people's opinion and hence must speculate here based on facts we know from the canon:
During Ron's second year at Hogwarts, it barely held together by a strand of the wood. Ron attempted to fix it together using Spellotape, but its magical capabilities were damaged beyond repair and it subsequently started malfunctioning; Ron refused to request his parents to buy a new one then due to fearing that he would receive another Howler from his mother for being irresponsible. [7] In Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Bellatrix is depicted as having had a secret daughter — Delphini (Delphi) "The Augurey" — who claims to also be the daughter of Lord Voldemort.Rowling is talking about the time before the first book was finished, when she was planning the series. So she is saying that the wand Ron had at the beginning of the stories was made of ash. This was the wand that broke at the beginning of book two and which was replaced at the beginning of book three with a wand made of willow. Rowling's comments on wand lore and allegiences:
As Au101 pointed out in his comment above, it's theoretically possible that Dumbledore (who possessed the Elder Wand) could have repaired Ron's wand. This opens up a second round of questions; Did Dumbledore not repair the wand because he didn't want to give away that he had the Elder wand? Was there a reason Ron didn't ask Dumbledore to repair his wand?In Harry Podder: Dude Where's My Wand?, a play by Desert Star Theater in Utah, written by sisters Laura J., Amy K. and Anna M. Lewis, Ron appears as "Ron Sneasley". [25] The Leaky Cauldron and MN Interview Joanne Kathleen Rowling – Part 3". The Leaky Cauldron. 28 July 2007 . Retrieved 9 February 2022.
