Of course, Bloodsport is far more than just a flimsy, low budget martial arts flick made 35 years ago. Yeah, it’s cheesy, but the martial arts set pieces are done very well and the overall theme of the film will give you that “feel good factor” at the end. There's some backstory that nobody cares about, ridiculous romance with a reporter, and friendship with fellow fighters - whilst Army CID Agents are trying to bring him back in - but it's mostly just padding to get you to the next round.
