Fourth generation, X Series driver
The fourth generation of SR80 gets the latest X Series drivers for reduced distortion and enhanced response. Designed with a high quality audio output and a stunning design, Grado headphones sound and look amazing. With its metal housing, the SR325x brings a surgical precision to your music that you won’t find in the rest of the Prestige Series. Now housed in a more durable exterior, the 4-conductor cable features a super annealed copper wire for improved purity of the audio signal. Many earphones are of the in-ear variety – slotting into the ear canal, and offering excellent isolation and passive noise attenuation, enabling you to listen at quieter volumes and also use your earphones in noisy environments. Grado have used their 60+ years of experience to fine tune their 50mm drivers, creating a fantastic listening experience. I’m placing the 325e last because it was just about the worst experience I’ve had listening to a headphone – Grado or otherwise. Reengineering these components for our 35mm drivers improve efficiency, reduces distortion, and preserves the harmonic integrity of your music. A big difference in the 1000e is the sense of being able to pinpoint instruments with a lot better precision. From this idea came a very limited quantity of Grado headphones that were given by Microsoft to a select number of producers and composers around the world. Together the sound the woods produce, when combined with our special processes, are full-bodied, dynamic, and truly defined. They don a leather headband and metal casing (as opposed to plastic/polymer), so I suppose it’s a slight upgrade build-wise, but I’d never recommend these in any circumstance.

Stepping up on the SR60x model, the SR80x features de-stressed drivers for a broader and more open sound. The simplest way to experience Grado sound, SR60x produces an impressive soundstage in an affordable headphone. The first Grado wooden headphones were built in the middle of the night back in 1994 by John Grado, and wood has been a staple on his workbench ever since. This line has deep ties to the Grado family, including the first Grado headphone ever and the first metal pair, and embodies the six decades of Grado Labs audio experience. We don't mind if you open the product to check it, however any used or damaged products will be subject to a 25% handling fee so please take care when opening your items.Re-engineering these components for our 44mm drivers improves efficiency, reduces distortion and preserves the harmonic integrity of your music. The bass is punchy, and the sound is clear and detailed (perhaps even more so than the 60e and 80e), but 2kHz is still a huge issue + the pads are awful. With harmonic colors, full bodied vocals, and a world renowned mid-range, the SR60x produces easily obtainable Grado sound. br>
