About this deal

Wear the hilt on your belt with the included clip or attach the blade for lights, motion-sensor sounds, plus battle-clash rumble and dueling Lightsaber effects that bring the eternal struggle to life! Unlike the Jedi who followed the light side of the Force, the Sith could not establish a mutual bond with kyber crystals. Our thrilling Darth Vader Lightsaber toy features a piercing red blade and detachable hilt to tempt young Jedi over to the dark side. This color has been used mostly by the Sith across Star Wars’ vast array of canon and Legends stories, as seen with Darth Vader, Count Dooku, Darth Sidious, Kylo Ren, and of course, Darth Maul's infamous double-bladed lightsaber.

Wielders in canon also include Quinlan Vos, Depa Billaba, Bultar Swan, Stass Allie, Luminara Unduli, Kit Fisto, Eeth Koth and Kirak Infil'a. The Imperial Knights crafted their lightsabers that featured synthetic crystals, using knowledge from Sidious' Book of Anger, in a process bereft of ceremony or significance. To understand the role of lightsaber colors, we must first understand where the color originates from. Synth-crystals made by the Jedi usually had colors other than red, to avoid similarities with the Sith.

Both of these characters are powerful Sith warriors who use their red lightsabers to further their own agendas. This is the first instance of bleeding occurring on the page and thoroughly explains how the Sith get lightsabers. Kylo Ren's lightsaber is a little different because it uses a cracked kyber crystal, which he may've either broken or had to steal due to his wavering dedication to the dark side.

This is one of the rarest lightsaber colors, but Star Wars: The High Republic has implied it was once more common with purple Kyber crystals represented on a Kyber Arch in honor of fallen Jedi at the temple on Coruscant. The prequel-era Jedi generally had their lightsaber blade colors retconned into their Clone Wars-era colors. Due to the energy sparking from the blade, unstable synth-crystals caused more damage than normal when they hit enemies. Unlike the natural kyber crystals used by Jedi, synthetic crystals are artificially created and are infused with the user's own negative emotions, such as fear, anger, and hatred. And with pieces that are compatible across the Star Wars Lightsaber Forge line, boys and girls can mix and match to create, customize, and master 1000s of combinations! Rather than the Jedi's ceremonial visit to the Crystal Cave, a Sith must defeat a Jedi and take their kyber crystal.

This is also where initiates would augment the red lightsaber crystal’s abilities to be best suited to the wielder’s needs. Following the spread of red crystals among the Sith Empire, red-hued crystal users were labeled Darksiders. Not much is known about the canon significance of these colors or what they mean for their wielders. While the most common lightsaber colors in Star Wars are blue, red, and green, the Star Wars universe has a variety of colors for these weapons across film, TV, video games, comics, and novels. While the majority of synthetic crystals were indeed red, they were known to emit other colors depending on the previously mentioned characteristics. The meanings behind lightsaber blade colors have been gradually explored in the Star Wars franchise over time, and while both the modern canon and Legends material establish that red-bladed lightsabers are almost exclusively Sith weapons, some Jedi in both timelines break tradition and use them for a variety of reasons. In Star Wars Legends, this color is designated to a Jedi Guardian, once again mirroring the Star Wars prequel trilogy. We take intellectual property concerns very seriously, but many of these problems can be resolved directly by the parties involved.
