It seems like plant ownership has been enjoying a lot of spotlight lately. I see so many creative planters cross my feed – even crochet planters! This smiling sloth planter is just plain adorable. You can make it really easily with just single crochet stitches – it’s similar to how amigurumi is made. Beginner crocheters may find this ragdoll style of crochet amigurumi a little easier. There’s no working in the round, so you don’t have to worry about slanting seams or awkward slip stitches. As an added bonus, this design also involves no color changes! By then she was old enough to use the hot glue gun on her own (about 11yrs?), but you CAN make this using ordinary glue – you just need to wait for ito dry a bit. I think it is the most adorable bookmark ever. And 2yrs later I still have it. You’d think that being so slow can prove to be a danger in the wild, where speed is of the essence when escaping from a predator. But sloths are pretty smart and spend most of their time in trees, so they are safe and don’t need to waste energy running! This genius designer made “frankenskeins” of all her little scraps of yarn by tying them together with the magic knot. Then she used those scrappy skeins to create this fluffy and colorful sloth! No it’s not faux fur yarn, it’s actually acrylic yarn that’s been brushed out! The loop stitch is the secret to the extra long and fluffy fur. Cut out the shapes and glue on any features – in this case the sloth face/ eyes/ nose and the cat eyes/ nose
