Mentha Nurseries T/A Barrett's Bridge Nurseries is a nursery specializing in plug plants, we are based in Cambridgeshire UK, and have supplied nursery fresh young plants to hundreds of growers, local authorities, garden centres, landscaping and garden designers within the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe for over 40 years, unfortunately due to brexit we no longer deliver to any offshore islands or Europe and only concentrate all our sales to the mainland Uk. We trim all our plants during their growing season to encourage bushy growth and a good root system, Plug plants size is 4 - 4.5cm, we recommend that plants are potted on and not planted direct into the soil.

Oregano – An attractive, bushy plant, oregano makes a fantastic statement in your garden. With Mediterranean origins, sow oregano in full sun with good drainage. Ideal for flavouring meat dishes, omelettes, or pizza. Basil – A popular herb that thrives in dry, warm spots, you can even grow basil on your windowsill. Harvest throughout summer to autumn. Ideal for pasta dishes, pizzas and Thai cooking. Mint – One of the best herbs for attracting pollinators to your garden. Grow mint in pots or containers and harvest from July-October. Ideal for subtly enhancing veg such as peas, potatoes and carrots. Parsley – One of the most popular herbs to use in the kitchen, parsley is ideal for salads or garnishes. Delivery: These plants can be delivered from September until mid/late October, depending on the season. These plants will arrive in 9cm biodegradable pots.
All our hardy plug plants are naturally grown without any artificial heat or light, this makes our plants a much hardier plant than the tender plug plants which are grown using artificial heat and light. Thyme – A kitchen garden essential, thyme can be grown successfully outdoors in pots, or in windowsill containers. Can be harvested between March-November. Ideal in stews and casserole dishes. Rosemary – Rosemary is a fragrant, hardy perennial herb that can be used all year round. Plant both annual and tender varieties outdoors in May. Ideal for flavouring stews, meat, and fish dishes. In the kitchen: Bronze Fennel has a sweet aroma and a delicious aniseed flavour that goes well with white fish or used fresh in salads. Growing herbs, or even creating a herb garden, is easier than you think. All you need is good light conditions in a weed free, well-drained soil or even on a windowsill. Herbs are an essential ingredient in a wide range of foods, so growing your own means a fresh supply of aromatic flavourings is never more than a few steps away.
