You’ll soon be churning out delicious homemade ice cream and gelato, healthy frozen yoghurt or refreshing fruit sorbets. This set is perfect for making fresh fruit lollies with pureed fruit and fruit juice, and they double as the perfect antidote to teething discomfort. What’s lovely about these for weaning babies, particularly those who are teething, is you can fill them with breast milk for a soothing and nutritious treat they’ll love – or you can just stick to purees and smoothies, of course. If yours is very full, some moulds do allow you to separate out the lollies and lie them down once they’ve frozen.

Ingredients like strawberry, banana, raspberry and lemon make tasty and refreshing cool pops while plant milk, milk or avocado can also be used, for a more creamy, ice-cream-like effect.

Fruity ice lollies can be as simple as making a smoothie… Just purée the flesh of your fruit of choice (we like watermelon, bananas, strawberries, raspberries and more), pour the mixture into a lolly mould, push in a lolly stick and freeze – they’re nutritious and delicious! We’ve got easy-to-use automatic self-contained ice cream makers, ice cream machines that let you control and customise each step of the process, and those that allow you to add as many extra ingredients to your desserts as you can dream up. Unmoulding: Most lolly moulds need to be run under a warm tap to release the lollies, but if it was too fiddly or tricky to achieve – or left the lolly stick behind – we took note. Then, after running the moulds under a tap for 40 seconds, followed by a twist, we easily freed the monsters with the features of each character intact. As this is a set of four, they take up less room in the freezer than others we tested – but they are probably slightly too large for an ice box. These neat little ice lolly moulds are similar to those from NUK in that they have easy-to-hold handles and a useful drip catcher.We absolutely loved these fun fruity pops, and we found they encouraged us to be more creative in our ice lolly adventures.
