Adult and juvenile Allosaurus were apparently designed for the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, but ultimately only the juveniles appeared. An adult is known to have existed, since the S.S. Arcadia‘s manifest can be seen to have two Allosaurus on it: one which is said to be a juvenile and one which, like the other adult dinosaurs, is not. According to members of the Universal Studios design team, the allosaurs appearing in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom were the male design, with a separate female design not appearing in the film. Because none were ever successfully exhibited, little information has been released about its requirements in captivity. The only available information for the moment is what is known about this animal’s behavior in the wild. Gaping the jaws and assuming a threatening position can be used as an intimidation tactic, while an irked allosaur may shove or snap at other animals to warn them away. Fossils of Allosaurus are a common sight in natural history museums, especially in the United States where this dinosaur was highly common. It is an excellent ambassador for science communication with the public, since it is easily accessible to anyone who visits a museum, and is often reconstructed in exciting poses. The fact that fossils suggest this animal really did live a dynamic life lends some credence to these dramatic reconstructions, making them based in science rather than pure speculation. Little is known about their social behaviors, as only a few field observations have been made (and even fewer under normal conditions). The red-colored lacrimal horns suggest a social function, especially when contrasted with the gray color of the body. Fossil evidence suggests that the lacrimal horns vary in size and shape from one animal to another, also implying that they serve social functions. The animals appear to become increasingly solitary as they age in a manner similar to modern-day ravens. Allosaurus adults only seem to congregate during the mating season, and nest in groups. Giganotosaurus is generally considered to be solitary creatures, although it is still unclear if they exhibit any sociable behaviors. However, there have been observations of individual Giganotosaurus, both from the late Cretaceous period and the present day, resting in comfortable spots where small theropods, such as Moros, can clean their teeth. This suggests a possible mutual benefit, as the Giganotosaurus's mouth is open for the cleaning process. In the early 1990s, InGen had completed 12% of the Allosaurus genome for exhibition in the original Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar, [7] but this completion of its DNA sequencing had to be put on hold due to InGen's financial trouble. The sequencing of its DNA would eventually be finished by the time that Jurassic World opened up to the public.

De-extinction research and development originally took place on Isla Sorna in the late 1980s and early 1990s. However, Allosaurus did not exceed 12% viability during that time. There is currently no evidence that this animal ever lived there or elsewhere in the Muertes Archipelago. Since activity on the island is kept well-hidden by its owners, it is unknown if any breeding is currently taking place. Isla Nublar Inspired by, and built over, the original Jurassic Park, Jurassic World contained elements of a biological preserve, a safari, a zoo, and a theme park similar to Disneyland, Walt Disney World, SeaWorld Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio, Busch Gardens and all of Universal Studios' locations. The park, like the aforementioned parks, also functioned as a luxury resort with hotels, restaurants, nightlife and even a golf course. Among the larger theropods, an adult Allosaurus may grow to around 28 to 40 feet (8.5 to 12.1 meters) from snout to tail and 12.5 to 14 feet (3.8 to 4.2 meters) tall when standing upright. This makes InGen specimens noticeably larger than their fossil counterparts. An average animal weighs 1,500 pounds (700 kilograms), but when they are fully grown, they can easily be as heavy as 4,400 pounds (2,000 kilograms) with a maximum reported weight of 4,500 pounds (2041 kilograms). At this size, it is an apex predator, and has many evolutionary adaptations to match. Mature female Allosaurus Colin Trevorrow had stated that he wanted the Giganotosaurus to feel like The Joker. In the sense that it “just wants to watch the world burn.” There is one scene in the film that alludes to this statement. The scene with the flaming locusts, two of which hit the carnivore in the face and it did not flinch, but only bellowed loudly as the fire worsened. Allosaurus is a large, solitary theropod that doesn't tolerate other large carnivores in their enclosure, even other Allosaurs, which can result in potentially fatal clashes. However, they can tolerate a decent number of other species in their enclosure, including small carnivores and herbivores. Allosaurus prefer large areas of open grassland to hunt in and prefer comparatively smaller areas of forest. The comfort threshold of the Allosaurus is high, comparable to Giganotosaurus, requiring powerful fences to be contained. The legs, while not designed for speed to the degree that tyrannosaurs’ legs are, can still propel the animal along at speeds of 19 to 34 miles per hour (30 to 55 kilometers per hour). The main hip bone, or ilium, is massive. The legs are shorter than those of tyrannosaurs, and three of the toes bear less developed and more hoof-like claws. The fourth toe, the dewclaw, does not reach the ground; the skeleton shows signs of a fifth toe which has been lost. The tail of Allosaurus is slightly downward-sloping, and comprises about a third of the animal’s overall length.

In fact, Ethan has stated that the final design, though better than the original concept and among his favorite designs in the franchise, could still use tweaks; namely, a thinner head and longer arms. Giganotosaurus was rumored to be the dinosaur antagonist of Jurassic World, then called by its preliminary name " Jurassic Park IV", before Indominus rex was revealed to be the antagonist. (Although, it did appear in the film in a sense as its genetic material was used in Indominus rex's creation [1]). However, Giganotosaurus has appeared as a final antagonist in Jurassic World: Dominion.

Legal

While nothing could be done about Baryonyx (until Dominion), "Pachyrhinosaurus" was relabeled as Sinoceratops (a change that unfortunately was too late for the merchandise to accommodate), and Allosaurus was branded as a juvenile - an adult to be designed at a later date. To this day, the advertising renders that were created for Allosaurus for Fallen Kingdom have never been released to the general public. Frontier's Allosaurus is overall just a really good depiction of Allosaurus, especially for Jurassic World; an upgrade compared to Fallen Kingdom, one that was already pretty decent. The bulkier body especially helps the design, as well as the adjusted crests. In JWE2, the corrected wrists further elevate this Allo. Honestly, if it had lips, a little less teeth in the lower jaw, and a little bit more bulk in the stomach/pubic region, it would just be a great Allosaurus depiction period- museum worthy. InGen’s rival, Mantah Corporation, stole numerous species of de-extinct animal from Jurassic World facilities in the 2000s and 2010s, housing the animals and breeding new ones at a facility on Mantah Corp Island. However, Allosaurus was not confirmed among their menagerie. Biosyn Genetics Sanctuary Allosaurus is one of the dinosaurs in the Holoscape inside the Innovation Center of Jurassic World.
