About this deal

Unless you’re a heel striker used to tall drop shoes, these are going to take some getting used to. Be sure to slowly break these in to avoid any injuries if you are coming from low drop (0-6mm) shoes. Personal: A- (Despite some imperfections in the midfoot for me, a really solid trainer I was happy to eat miles with) The Wave Neo Wind and its extra cushioned counterpart, the Wave Neo Ultra, represent a more sustainable approach to running shoe production. The Neo Wind utilizes some of Mizuno’s latest tech, like Enerzy Lite foam, but it’s made with plant-based materials and produced with less resource-intensive manufacturing processes. David: The Mizuno Wave Rider 25 is neutral daily trainer for someone looking for a reliable workhorse trainer. The shoe does ride a little on the softer end with a higher drop ratio than most shoes on the market. The forefoot is also more flexible than previous versions. The result is a slightly soft riding shoe with solid responsiveness throughout. Though the Wave Rider 25 can handle some uptempo work, it is probably best used as a daily trainer. The highlight of the Wave Rider 25 for me is its upper and it makes it feel like an expensive shoe. It has no faults and it’s comfortable even on long runs that last over 4 hours.

It has a super soft and flexible forefoot which makes it only suitable for relaxed runs while there is a big difference in cushioning between its heel and forefoot so the ride feels inconsistent. Its really an excellent all-round, lightweight, high-mileage training shoe superb for the runner who just wants to use one running shoe for all his runs of the week or the runner who wants a lighter supplement for high-mileage training shoes like Mizuno Wave Sky or Wave Sky NEO among others. Its really a running shoe which can be used by all types of runners as it is comfortable, stable, bouncy and light. Over the years, the Wave Rider has gained a wide, loyal fanbase and has built a solid reputation of being a consistent, reliable workhorse which doesn’t change much from iteration to iteration.Ultraspire Fitted Race Belt: The best way to carry your phone and goods on the run. No bounce and various sizes for waist

The comfortable midsole underfoot provides mile after mile of consistent feel and the upper is breathable and easy on the environment. DPT/Footwear Science: B+ (For the daily trainer field, a unique combination of elements that is hard to beat or find)As the shoe is named ” Wave Rider”, I also expected some kind of wavy/rolling sensation - and I think that the shoe lives up to that. It provides an incredibly smooth roll regardless of the distance and the pace. It feels completely like riding a wave where not many demands are made on your legs. Enerzy is a relatively soft foam but I don’t experience much energy return from it. It reminds me of Nike’s React foam. The Wave Rider 25 also didn’t feel as clunky or noisy as I expected it to be, which used to be a signature Wave Rider feature. Overall: B+ (Still a great workhorse with a really fun foam, but a couple of issues at the transitions)

Founded in 1906 by two brothers, Rihachi and Rizo Mizuno, in Osaka, Japan, the brand rose to prominence with the Air Genova ST shoe, which featured an early version of its “wave plate” technology—a novel midsole design that offered a distinctively stable running feel. Mizuno then set out to build the ultimate speed shoe, which resulted in the Racing Star 100 in 1988. The light and highly flexible design proved successful: In 1991, Carl Lewis wore a pair to break the men’s 100-meter dash record. The Wave Sky is Mizuno’s super-plush shoe. While previous versions achieved a soft ride using a long list of foams, the Wave Sky 6 streamlines the cushion to save weight and showcase the brand’s latest midsole design, which sandwiches its Enerzy and Enerzy Core foams around a wave plate. All three components complement each other: The firm Enerzy foam provides support. The plush, but resilient Enerzy Core compresses to provide that plush feel. The wave plate, as always, stabilizes your foot and dissipates impact forces. Together, the foams and plate promote smooth transitions and create a notably soft, somewhat responsive ride.
