About this deal

Each author had also written more than fifteen novels during their career. Being best friends, it occurred to the ladies one random day that they could garner even greater success by combining their efforts and writing as a team. And I’m just trying to survive a tangled web of unexpected motherhood and run one of the best real estate companies in town that never sleeps. Maria was Remy’s high school sweetheart but he was 2 years older so when he graduated as a senior Maria had 2 more years to go. So they split up before Remy’s graduation. The continuous banter with the Winslow siblings is always entertaining. I really hope this isn’t the end of this family. I’m going to be sad if it is. All the babies need to grow up so they have stories. It can be the Winslow Next Generation. 😊

The first book in the billionaire bad boys novels tends to divide audiences. Kline doesn’t make the best hero. Physically, he seems to fit the bill. But the idea of a humble billionaire who lives in a one bedroom apartment and pursues a normal life makes little sense to readers of the romance genre. And whether or not it is true that Max Monroe is a pair of best-selling authors, no one can deny the fact that the ploy, if it is indeed a ploy, is working. The idea gets people talking and theorizing as to which two renowned bestselling authors could be behind the Max Monroe name.Possibly most importantly: You WILL have a new book you want to reread over and over again. Seriously. It’s that addicting.

I love how the elevator played such a big role in the relationship between the two. And it was such a wonderful meet cute!!! Maria is a workaholic in which her life revolves around her career. She doesn’t have time for a relationship but honestly she isn’t looking for one anyway. She’s been through some unimaginable things that have left her to figure out how she’s going to get through, but she’s strong and selfless and if anyone can make it work, it’s her. Though sometimes it’s good to have a helping hand and in Maria’s case it comes in the form of a blast from the past. In all fairness, it should be noted that I have rarely rated any stories from this popular author duo above two stars, so you might want to take my review with a grain a salt. I don’t know why I keep trying this author; just a glutton for punishment, I guess. Or rather, I do know why - it’s the strong quality concepts that pull me in, but then I get hung up on the execution that just falls flat 💁‍♀️ Did I spend my Wednesday dodging all commitments and reading this book? You can bet I did. And I have no regrets. Because Max Monroe definitely saved the best and most powerless of the brothers for last. Though, to be fair, I love Flynn (from The Pact) even more, but Remy almost shares that spot. This book made me laugh, sigh, and just rhapsodize many times, and that’s what I love about Max Monroe’s books. You rarely get bored!Despite being the epitome of tall, dark, and incredibly handsome, Remington Winslow has been single for most of his life. It’s cliche and easy until you consider the fact that he was once left at the altar in a horrific moment. Fire heroine—awkwardly lovable and relatable, Vasovagal Syncope warrior with an adorable service dog named Benji I'm constantly frustrated with the main characters who hem & haw over every decision and interaction, ultimately choosing non-action and avoidance at every turn... They both could have gotten their HEA's years ago if they would just freaking communicate. Be honest about their feelings. Take action. So many amazingly hilarious and adorable sibling and family moments. And of course we get our much-needed Thatch-fix too!

Marias character was also an absolute highlight. It brought emotion and healing, making their relationship seem so realistic. The tequila scene will live rent free in my head, there were so many amazing moments for healing for both the characters-- having loved their first life and now embarking on new chapters. It is official. I fell in love with another Winslow brother. Remy is the definition of swoon and she couldn’t get enough of him. You can’t help but feel like there’s divine intervention, fate, or some kind of magic at play here in this series… and you know, I totally agree. And that Maria, she’s such a strong heroine. Despite all the difficulties she had to face alone, she is a successful business woman and is about to become a mother. It’s not easy for her to let anyone in. But Remy makes it almost impossible not to.Even though he’s the epitome of tall, dark, and incredibly handsome, Remington Winslow has been a single bachelor for most of his life. It’s clichéd and basic—until you consider the fact that once upon a terrible time, he got left at the altar. Remy comes off as such a grumpy eternal bachelor type of guy, but really he has so much love to give. He really is a big ole softy wrapped in a hard sexy shell. He made me swoon so hard. The way he spoke about Maria, her strength and beauty as a mother, just melted my heart. Remy is the oldest Winslow sibling and often times seems like the grouchy one but he really isn’t. He is such a great uncle to Winnie’s daughter and it is clear how much he loves his siblings even if he does give them a hard time. This book really defined him as one of the most swoon worthy Winslow Brothers.
