As a Batman fan, I enjoyed the Batfamily being at the center of the book and the investigation into the vampires.Dead Guy on Display: Once the vampires begin their takeover, Batman's corpse is strung up outside Gotham as a warning against any resistance. Yet another DC ‘what if’ story that’s so well written that it’s a shame the mainstream DC events aren’t this fun/ interesting. And then seeing the big mystery play out and also Batman got a letter about all that was going on so it's like seeing a battle play out on both sides of the conflict like who will get whom and I love that so much. They've always floated around in the DCU (see the brilliant I, Vampire New 52 series), but having them centre stage here makes for some fun set pieces and reveals as everything falls apart around our ears. Much like ‘DCeased’ the idea here is simple and a little cheesy, and again much like DCeased it just works.It felt like there should’ve been more to what happens in the final act but instead, readers are left with a huge cliffhanger for future additional volumes to figure out.
