The stillmothers are an uncomfortable element of the game for me and that carries over to this artwork as well. The main designer and director is Hideo Kojima so it's probably not surprising to feel the similar Metal Gear Solid (MSG) vibe in the style of art you'll see in this book. Anyone familiar with Metal Gear will love the character sketches but it was the environments/world I was most interested in.

Equally as disturbing are some of the early concepts for the stillmothers, arguably the game’s most chilling element.
