About this deal

I own a number of high end (see avatar/ profile pic), mid range and cheap guitars and have an Epi LP Special II in my collection that I bought second hand a couple of years ago with the idea to use it for busking. If I could stress one thing, it's that both of these guitars are an excellent value, and they’re both very well made.

So whether you’re a musical newcomer or a seasoned stage vet, let’s see what this heritage Epiphone can offer you. Ebony: similar to maple in tone and sturdier than rosewood, ebony fretboards offer a darker-looking neck with a brighter tone. THAT is why I love cheap guitars like these, and this particular model is one of the best for all those lofty noble goals.

Overall, none of these build quality flaws are deal-breakers, and I’m happy to focus on the good things like its smooth-playing rosewood fretboard.

I received the Vintage Worn Vintage Sunburst (that’s a vintage mouthful) finish and it’s astonishing! The guitar was here in just two days and the job performed by the guys at Sweetwater (intonation and setting as well as the change of strings ) was perfect. Attached to the body via sturdy bolt-on construction is an Okoume neck with a 1960’s SlimTaper D profile, giving you a fast and comfortable playing experience.Great sounding and easy to play the Les Paul Special VE provides great value for money with a guitar that will last a long time. The Epiphone Les Paul Special VE Vintage Edition in Vintage Worn Ebony with its new Worn, Vintage finishes, is powered by Open Coil Humbuckers and has a Poplar body. I'm very glad that you gave attention to those guitars, in a few years, many of today's gear snobs will recognize Epiphone's place as great instrument makers, along side the "Big Boys" . There aren't any 'rules' as to what country makes good or bad guitars, but rather which brands have tighter quality control.

The bolt on neck structure gets in the way impeding your ability to reach the high notes, you should be able to reach fret 22 without too much trouble. At Kenny's Music we take the privacy and security of your payment and personal details very seriously. The Les Paul VE is cut to the same classic profile of all Les Pauls and has a comfortable and fast Mahogany bolt-on neck with a 1960's SlimTaper™ D profile. Nowadays, most of us would consider ourselves lucky to have a nice Epiphone, and my test-drive of this new Les Paul Special VE has sold me on that even further. The Epiphone Les Paul Special VE (Vintage Edition) features a vintage worn finish in a vibrant cherry sunburst. You can tell whether a page is secure as 'https' will replace the 'http' at the front of the kennysmusic. However, they still included the authentic mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard—one of the signature traits of vintage Les Pauls. Ultimately however, I found the playability and feel of the Epiphone to be superior to that of the Squier. As some shapes require the use of more wood than others, it can definitely give the tone a different texture.

Most electric guitars have between 21 and 24 frets which allows you to play pretty much everything you can imagine. Using an unsecured network in a public place can be risky as unauthorised people may try to intercept anything you're doing online. It didn’t exactly come playable out of the box, but it was ready to go after a tuning and some action adjustment. They can be a springboard toward learning electronics, circuit design and even some computing basics. The other thing I don’t like, and actually my biggest problem with the playability, is the finish of the neck. This vintage edition guitar comes with the legendary Locktone Tune-o-matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece for an easy set up. I’m not sure if that's because I’m not used to a 14” radius or maybe just not being used to a Les Paul body in general; either way it didn’t take me long to warm up to, but it definitely feels a little harder to hit those notes than on another single cutaway, like a Tele for instance. Regardless of which model you choose, the Epiphone Les Paul Special provides a highly enjoyable and rewarding playing experience that can take you from your first lesson through to recording and live performance. The Les Paul Special VE comes standard with the legendary Locktone™ Tune-o-matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece for easy set up.
