About this deal

Evermore was an immediate bestseller and as of August 11, 2009, it had spent 25 weeks on the New York Times Bestsellers list for children's books. Her protagonist, Ever, was incredibly popular at her old school and has decided to be an outcast because she feels that she can't be accepted due to her psychic gift. But, it’s not just a romance, as there is more to Ever then meets the eye (stuff she doesn’t even realize).

I could wax on and on about the whole virgin/whore dichotomy that tears through this book like a bull seeing red but that would be a waste of time.

In the first book I found myself hoping he’d be a good character (I guess I was won over by the smaller things he did) but in this book I just still found myself loving him. I thought this was a Twilight rip-off therefore set in a Biology class, is Noel for the first time not following a cliché? Especially when you could be injecting more drooling from the female protagonist in place of any kind of characterization for your hero. Jules does this with multiple people in Evermore because if she gets too close to them, Caro will kill them. The good news is that creating your own mythology, disregarding anything written before, allows you to twist and bastardize the plot beyond any recognizably interesting concept!

I really felt for her because of all she lost and what she struggled with daily… Evermore was a really fast, engaging read with some great characters. Ever realises he's hiding something, but nothing could prepare her for the truth - especially when the truth involves past lives, murderous enemies, everlasting love and the secret of eternal youth. We’re back to our protagonist from the first book, Jules, who is on the run following the end of that story. In the first book of The Immortals series, find out what Ever will do after discovering she can read auras and hear thoughts. I told myself that I honestly wasn't going to read this book after my friend, Aysha, came up to me one day just praising the book. So whilst you can't have your main character associate herself with being cool, it still has to be obvious to your audience that she totally is. As long as she shows no regard for her clothing, appearance or any kind of interest in giving a shit about anyone but herself she will easily pass with young audiences. Based on the popular YA novel, Evermore, and aided by countless more like it, I have compiled an easy to read and follow list of rules for writing a popular series and being able to sell out your soul at the same time.

As long as the hero gets to save the day at least three or four times then your book will be profitable! I can only hope that Alyson Nöel takes the ideas she has started with and expands on them as that would make this series stand out from comparisons to Twilight. Overall, a good book, a few little surprises (I thought I had it figured out, but I was wrong), and I will be continuing the series. Alyson Noël created a well-detailed story that makes it easy for the reader to visualize both the characters and the world around them. Okay so I’ve been going back and forth through several books over the last couple of months, I guess I needed the break though because I definitely feel back to myself!

The EXACT same thing happened to Ever but with one of Damen's hot, smoldering, sexy looks or touche He’s very scholarly and Evermore really has this side of him shine, but he’s protective over Jules as in the first and it’s just very admirable. Manifestations are "simple quantum physics," Ever is murdered lifetime after lifetime but escapes this time due to the serial murderer's "lack of love" and the narrative never explains how Ever reincarnates with a new body and consciousness yet remains herself.
