This book is more adrenaline thriller with hit men and hit women, and the requisite race against time! There is always a book in her bag (if there isn’t one in her hand) and she will ALWAYS swoon over an F Scott Fitzgerald quote.
The storyline of the millionaire looking for his children seemed like a straightforward plot, but there are lots of twists that make the story really intriguing. Bad Move, the first book, was followed by three more Zack Walker thrillers: Bad Guys, Lone Wolf, and Stone Rain. Of course, some of the issues raised will be too advanced for a baby to grasp, but the point is to start thinking about them from a young age and to challenge any unconscious biases.
The tension (and body count) rises as the story breezes its way to an ultimately satisfying - slightly cheesy - epilogue. Main character Miles Cookson, is an extremely affluent, bachelor tech magnate who has just been told by his doctor he has a terminal heredity disease.

Miles secretly has a DNA test done on his brother and is relieved to know that he is clear of the potential disease. Alexandra Nyman was expecting some reaction when she delivered her diagnosis, but Miles Cookson was busy looking at his phone. I think the author himself knew he had crossed the line into telling a stupid fairy tale when at the end of the book (after another fetched convergence of characters) the author has two of the hitmen who are working for different people for different reasons to kill/set up the same person meet each other and when they discovered this coincidence justify it by saying “small world”. To my knowledge, all his mysteries have had an American location, and I wish he would use a Canadian setting sometime in the future. This classic race-against-time thriller is somewhat predictable, but superbly entertaining and deliciously enjoyable nonetheless.She takes Miles to meet Todd, and they are dismayed to discover that he has disappeared without a trace. Meanwhile we meet some of the nine children who are all around 20 give or take a few years and we learn that some of them are being killed. Three of those seventeen novels comprise the epic Promise Falls trilogy: Broken Promise, Far From True, and The Twenty-Three. The cinematic narrative makes it perfect for video adaptation, but don’t wait for the movie or the series.
