There’s a new range of jelly from Hartley’s available now and it’s extra special — it’s a range of glitter jelly! It gives the jelly a wonderful appearance and creates such a fun and pretty twist on this classic kids treat. To celebrate the launch of Hartley’s new Mixed Berry Glitter Jelly they sent us a lovely box of goodies so we could have our own sparkly party. Dissolve the crystals in half a pint of boiling water, once dissolved add half a pint of cold water, mix and chill. Super easy to follow instructions on the pack meant it was really simple to add the water to the powder and mix and stir.The flavour too was spot on, there were lots nice berry flavours, with tones of raspberry and blueberry. Note: you can add fruit or juice, but avoid fresh pineapple, kiwi or papaya as these fruits will stop your jelly from setting.

I was a little apprehensive of eating jelly that contained glitter – even if it is edible glitter it just didn’t sit well with me at first but I needn’t have worried as it tasted delicious and all the glitter did, was give it a lovely shimmer. The darkness of the Jelly does mean that it’s arguably not as glittery as the other two flavours and it actually tastes similar to a Blue Raspberry Slush Puppy, obviously without the ice.
