He is rebuilding his life in his birth country and trying to piece together the puzzle of his life and how he ended up in America as a young boy in the first place. On February 21, 1954, he was born Morgan James Kane but his birth was not registered and soon after he was dumped on the doorstep of his grandparents home while his mother fled, never to be seen again. His full experiences are detailed in his book ' 34 Years in Hell: My Time Inside America's Toughest Prisons' published by Mirror Books. He got in contact with the Isle of Man authorities to find out what was needed for him to get the birth certificate.

Writing in his new book, Jamie revealed: “Around mid-2012, I started seeing more guys having their faces tattooed, in some cases to help them look tougher, especially if they had a baby face. The Chalke History Festival announces a new name, new look, and tons for history buffs to get their teeth into! Behind his quest lies an astonishing 'stranger than fiction' story which has indeed ended up in a successful book. Jamie said from there he was then taken illegally into America and "adopted" - sold as he put it - to a wealthy family. He is rebuilding his life in his birth country and trying to piece together the puzzle of his life, and how he ended up in America as a young boy in the first place. During the Vietnam war, he served as a medic in the thick of the gore and was special ops trained like Jason Bourne. It came up as suggestion randomly and I downloaded the sample and read the book fully within 3 days. He was moved between so many prisons in the 34 years and denied bail so many times, but he never gave up and I applaud him for that. How the hell can somebody go to prison for 13yrs for a murder they did not commit, and end up staying for 34yrs is beyond me. Poorer inmates would volunteer their bodies as canvases for those learning to draw tattoos, Jamie claims.
