About this deal

COOKING FUNCTIONS: This all-in-one fryer has 4 cooking functions making it possible to prepare a wide range of delicious dishes. After testing, Helen concluded that this is a top-notch air fryer with a capacity that’ll be ample for most families. It has a digital display, and it was super easy to cook my food thanks to its eight pre-set functions.

We were looking for tasty, healthy, appetising results (everything took a little experimentation to get right) but we also wanted to see how easy each machine is to use, how much space it takes up, how much it costs to run and how easy it is to clean. This model also has clear windows so you can keep an eye on your roast while it cooks – and you’ll want to use it for roasts, as our chicken was near-perfect on test. This review will focus on its air frying capabilities, for obvious reasons, but it’s worth noting that the Foodi MAX PRO comes with a digital cooking probe for perfectly cooked steaks, burgers, and skewers. My favourite thing is that you needn't worry about timings: all you have to do is sync the drawers, so everything finishes at the same time. Yes, it’s a bit of a faff and for the sake of good health should be kept only for occasional use, but the results it produces cannot be successfully replicated by any other cooking method.

It’s a hugely versatile gadget, with 1,500 Watts of power and 11 cooking modes (including steam, boil, sous vide and slow cook, as well as pressure cook and air fry) that make it perfect for one-pot meals. The machine is excellently built and it hits the sweet spot of power at 1,700 Watts, making it both powerful and cheap to use. A good rule of thumb is only use light colour oils, not dark as they burn at a lower temperature,” advises frying aficionado Emile Bernard. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. There’s a good range of pre-set cooking modes for air frying, dehydrating, roasting, baking and grilling.

Once you've done that though, you'll find this air fryer is wholly worth it, even though it's the most expensive Ninja air fryer out there at the minute. They generally range from around two to eight litres in volume (although models as large as 24 litres do exist). Dual-drawer air-fryer models alsoIt has a compact footprint and isn’t too loud, so I would say it’s the best choice for small kitchens (and it’s certainly the one I’d keep in my tiny flat).

Though the Speedi does come with a recipe book, it’s limited and after a few goes you’re left to your own devices. Our testers loved the handy alert that reminds you to turn your food at crucial cooking points and were pleased with how easy it is to use, programme, and clean (it’s dishwasher-safe). Innovative items like robot vacuum cleaners and wine coolers are among her favourite tests to date, and her most notable accomplishment is toasting 360 slices of bread in a determined bid to find the best toaster. Our reviewer was skeptical at first, but eventually won over by the fact that she could use the bigger draw for a chicken. But those minor quibbles aside, it’s easy to use and comes with detailed instructions (both physical and via a QR code that takes you to video tutorials). The range goes from 60°C to 200°C, which gives you a lot of scope to bake or dehydrate foods at a lower temperature, or blast them at a more powerful heat to create that delicious crispy, fried finish. Ninja air fryers are considered top-of-the-line, and are pretty much the highest-rated everywhere, so if you can find one on sale, grab it while you can for less!
