The Rab Aeon 27 has been built to move with you over all types of terrain, boasting a full set of technical features and a close-fitting back system that flexes as you move. Its semi-rigid structure and vacuum formed back panel moulds to your shape and keeps the air flowing, whilst a wrap-around stretch yoke fits neatly over the back of the shoulders for a soft and secure fit. The Remote 28 is a robust feeling daysack with a fairly roomy main compartment, accessed via a zip opening that goes three-quarters of the way down the pack, giving good access to its contents. The back has a sprung, flexible mesh panel that sits clear of the main body of the pack, enabling venting air to circulate.

Inside the main area, the volume of which is reduced a little by the curvature of the back plate, is a hydration bladder sleeve with hanger with a hook-and-loop fastening.

The backpack has plenty of pocket space with a security pocket on the top, side mesh pockets and many more.

The Jack Wolfskin rucksack has twin hangers tucked into the top of the pack which allow it to be piggy-backed on to a larger Kalari rucksack from the brand’s range if desired. When the user is walking, the back system moves with the body’s natural motion in the arms and hips. Down the centre of the back is a flexible strut on which is suspended the Active Spine Technology system.The removable chest and hip straps mean that you can adapt the pack to meet your personal needs whilst the compression straps give a secure pack that will balance the weight comfortably on your back. The harness straps have plenty of foam padding, with cutouts for ventilation and perforations on the inner surfaces. You've got a padded sleeve to fit a laptop up to 15", a hydration sleeve, a front zipped pocket designed to fit a folded OS map, a zipped top pocket for items you need to get to quickly, loops to carry two walking poles, two stretchy side pockets for bottles, side compression straps to stop things rattling about when not fully packed and a custom bike light loop with reflective details. There are twin walking pole or ice-axe attachment loops at the lower end of the pack, and an upper bungee arrangement to keep them in place. In a generous 26 litre capacity, the Edge can fit everything you need for a busy day out, whether it’s the city or the summit.
