About this deal

Iphiginia, try to say that three times fast, Bright is an educated woman who doesn’t want to live by the rules. There is the bright and intelligent heroine, and the strong and somewhat dour hero - and sparks fly when they come into conflict. My favourite line of his: "You have taught me to break most of my other rules, Iphiginia, teach me to break this one, too", gorgeous! Unfortunately (for her), her alleged lover is very much alive and more than curious to meet his "newest mistress".

He has self image issues and is shocked by her, and how much he cares for her, but doesn't trust himself at first. Marcus married Iphiginia and they lived HEA, but she'd be forever viewed as "the mistress who got lucky and managed to marry her lover" because her true identity was never revealed to the ton. Point Of View (POV): This alternated between focusing mainly on Iphiginia and Marcus in 3rd person narrative. Bennet is absolutely appaled that his brother would countenance a marriage with a woman who, according to the standards of the day, is a totally unworthy person. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal.

He realised he did not want to be that type of man any longer and that this one woman held the key to a different life for him. Though Marcus isn't Julian (from Seduction), he's still one of my favorite historical heroes out there. All in all, that wasn't a big deal because the main focus of this book was always Marcus and Iphiginia's relationship, and that was nicely written.

Die Behandlung der Beziehung zwischen Mann und Frau und der gesellschaftlichen Zwänge sind sehr aktuell trotz der Wahl der Autorin die Handlung in das vorgehende Jahrhundert zu stellen. Before she began writing full time she worked as a librarian in both academic and corporate libraries. She has written under seven different names: Jayne Bentley, Amanda Glass, Stephanie James, Jayne Taylor, Jayne Castle, Amanda Quick and Jayne Ann Krentz. I even expect a bit of cheese to be involved but this one for some reason was just a little too much on the cheese and crackers side of romance for my taste. I was in the mood for some pretty, brainless lurff, and this book had it all-- in a rather larger dose than I could swallow.

Iphiginia is a exuberant, independent and intellectual woman, and to Marcus Valerius Cloud,Earl of Masters, she was like a shooting star who lit up the dark sky in his world. I remember feeling much more with this author, especially in Ravished, so this was a let down for sure. There were then imitators, and they were many, and Their name was Legion, and they did taketh the Chaste Kiss that endeth the Regency Novel, and turn it into page after page of instructional descriptions on how to make the Beast with Two Backs. It may be difficult to access as it seems to be out of print and not in e book format but it would definitely be worth the effort to get a copy.I am devastated to hear that being my mistress has not been quite as entrancing as your tour of antiquities. Marcus Cloud, Earl of Masters, is astonished to learn that his non-existent mistress is taking London by storm. It had sex in it, and a beautiful gilt carriage on the cover, who could possibly want anything else?

Once again this is a romance and an adventure, set in the Regency period and written with verve and style. Overnight, Iphiginia is transformed into a vision with a host of eager admirers, including one she does not expect -- the Earl of Masters himself, who strides into a shimmering ballroom one evening to cooly reclaim his "mistress. Her plan is inspired: Imitating history's most legendary beauties--Cleopatra, Helen of Troy, Aphrodite--the former schoolmistress will remake herself, and descend upon London Society as the dazzling mistress of Marcus Valerius Cloud, the infamous Earl of Masters. Please understand that the services we offer are strictly for time and companionship only and this is all that is covered by any fees that are incurred. Soon the two join forces to unmask the villain and perhaps turn their charade into something more real.
