In our tests, we had minimal condensation in the morning after an overnighter – a small amount of moisture is pretty much guaranteed with any bivvy bag – we found the Highlander Hawk perfectly acceptable on that front. The sack will fully cover your sleeping bag, but the shape is a tapered ‘mummy style’ which does not leave much room for your feet to move around at the bottom. Breathable: For extra comfort whilst you rest, the bivvi is breathable to minimize moist building and to help prevent you from getting cold. I think they are more useful in the mountains where you don't have room to pitch a tent (even there a small bivvy tent is much better if you can find space for it. I cycled across the Balkans and Turkey and hiked across the Caucasus using a silnylon MLD Duomid (~500g), which offers far more protection and comfort than any bivvy bag I have used, for the same or less weight. The bivi wraps around your sleeping bag and includes a big hood which can completely cover encompass your head and face.
The paratec material is soft to the touch and lightweight, meaning the bivvy has a total weight of only 340g.
