About this deal

I am honestly shocked at the people who ask me what I'm wearing cause a lot of people ask what it is rather than say it's good or bad. This was my first time smelling any Amouage scent, so I did not have much of a context to judge this.

Amouage's "frag," not fragrance, is nothing of the sort, instead opting to make the interlude the main event, which is an all day and tiresome affair. This gives the fragrance these impressive and profound nuances that set it apart from pure spice or incense scents, which initially give it the aura described above. A dark woody base with strong incense and leather facets, but also a surprisingly fresh spicy effervescence which combined with the amber smells like cola to me. This reeks of an old, dusty attic with an odd "something smells sweet and sticky in the corner" odor. Interlude Man is a spicy – woody fragrance that opens with zesty bergamot, oregano and pimento berry oil, perpetuating intervals of conflict which are countered by aromatic notes of amber, frankincense, opoponax, cistus and myrrh. The initial hit of oregano can be a bit harsh, but it quickly mellows into an incredible blend of smoky notes and some other stuff I cannot quite figure out. Indeed this notion of pencils is felt, admit that men over 65 feel a beautiful material, I wear it and find it faithful to the spirit of Amouage. I didn’t feel the massive performance everyone is talking about, it is not weak but not nuclear like many people say.

Although the distinction between female male versions get blurred in perfumery this is MASCULINE in caps. Sometimes a spritz in the evening after a long day of work can also have a beautifully soothing effect. as for the "you can only wear it in X season" I will say this: decide what you want or don't want to wear in what context based off of your own experience. Regardless, I have absolutely fell in love with this fragrance it unfortunately doesn't last super long on my skin I have gotten six hours most out of it, or maybe I just get nose blind to it after. They say we crave and desire not the things that are perfect, but the ones that are almost, an inch away from perfection. When I smelled the perfume, I realized that the saw paper smelled like burnt incense, because it was a very heavy smell, I couldn't stand it and had to throw it away. Let’s start by explaining that I (usually) can’t stand that dry, cold, ashy note that (when done badly) turns my stomach. This doesn't mean it's overly mature, but I think it's definitely a scent for those who can handle their own. After 45 minutes it will smoothly transform in to incense kind of burning sweet and this is the Heart of the perfume and carrying same for the day. But it's also vastly more expensive and only something I would recommend to real frag-heads or people for whom money is no object.
