About this deal

When the Watchers lie with mortal women, they create offspring that looks different than other human offspring. It comes with lively illustrations which offer children who haven't encountered Thor, Odin, Freya or Loki before, a panorama of this marvelous world and the many adventures of the Norse Gods.

Since before the latter half of the twentieth century, the Book of Giants had long been known as a Middle Iranian work (which some scholars now believe was written originally in Eastern Aramaic) that circulated among the Manichaeans as a composition attributed to Mani ( c. It opens with lovely touches such as ‘her father made the porridge and her mother chopped the wood’, it is refreshing to see variations from the traditional fairytale roles. This happened when I first came across ‘The Giant of Jum’ by Elli Woollard and Benji Davies which offers an alternative to the traditional Giant stories. Hagen lived on three different continents by the time he was eleven, and developed a tremendous passion for folktales of all cultures from Africa, Egypt, Greece, Europe, and Celtic and Norse myth.
