I am a fan of Enid Blyton and I was delighted by this book, as it did remind me quite a bit of Enid Blyton's stories.

Laura's an orphan who has spent most o her life in a children's home, dreaming of long-lost relatives coming to find her.

I love the strong female character who would give any of her male counterparts a run for their money, and the supporting cast of characters add some humorous moments. The suspense and fear builds throughout the book slowly, leaving you on tenterhooks as the closing chapters approach.
