I ended up exchanging my bottle for Hypnotic Poison, as that was my second choice in the hunt for an almond-forward scent. So I will go through my 8 ml decant happily, which might last quite a while considering the potency of this fragrance.

This uplifting sweet scent inspires good vibrations with a composition of deliciously fresh and fruity notes.In the very beginning I reaaally get Jessica Simpson Fancy vibes, even though they only share a couple of notes.

In fact I’m struggling to finish the bottle which is a surprise because I used to really enjoy this one. Then White Florals (Orange Blossom, Magnolia) are enhancing the creamy part of the fragrance, complimenting the Nutty and Sweet notes.The patchouli is very sweet and syrupy, no dirty patchouli here, adding a lot of the heavy, dense sweetness of the fragrance. the person who said this smells like if you layered olympea and HP was right, it does have that vibe. This is a cozy cool weather fragrance IMO but for that time of year I prefer others so I don't see this as purchase worthy for myself but I would recommend to younger, more outgoing women, and the bottle is gorgeous and very affordable. The Mandarin’s more delicate and adds a citrusy side in the opening, but the Pear is really noticeable, even if more subtle than the nutty notes. I went home and had a look here, I was convinced it was Forever, so I added that to my "I want it" pile.

Forever is a heavier version of the OG, but the OG has patchouli, which to me helps brighten up the heaviness. On paper it’s nothing I would even want to try but since I already have a bottle I feel obligated to try it on my skin. Tonka Bean and Almond Milk blended together leave a final Almond trail while Patchouli reinforces the ultimate Elie Saab. The patchouli is overpowering everything else and it smells like patchouli mixed with every other boring designer perfume :( so disappointed, I love the bottle but the juice is blah. I've gotten so many compliments wearing this perfume, and to me it almost smell's cherry at first spray then it becomes a warm sweet powdery nutty bomb of a scent I absolutely love this perfume!The orange blossom lends airiness to the heart, by which time, the sweetness has been toned down a notch and more creamy aspects start to appear. Nobody mentioned the scent so I don’t think protection is strong but since it seems to be a very polarizing scent, that’s probably a good thing! The crazyness with the sweet almonds that smell cozy and cute and like a homemade vanilla cookie straight from the oven to be eaten by potential boyfriends or husbands, that's all Black Opium's fault.
