To meet the expressed need of our fellowship, the 1997 World Service Conference, Al‑Anon’s largest group conscience, passed a motion “to give conceptual approval to develop a daily reader for Al‑Anon adult children. Jesus talks about this in Matthew 13 in the Parable of the Sower, who was planting seed in his field. Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Pastor Jay and Tiffany Gilbert are joined by Senator Judy Ward to discuss the legislation that is happening in Pennsylvania and what it means for life in a post-Roe world. Of course I never achieved this goal of perfection, which left me feeling less than, not smart enough, not attractive enough, simply not good enough.

The daily sharings contain a reading from Al-Anon's Conference Approved publication The Forum, an inspirational quote/saying and a recovery based reading/meditation. I’m still learning that I cannot change those around me, but I can change how I treat them – with dignity and respect. And siblings will be kind to each other, even though they had a recent blow-up over the care of an aging parent. The sower represents God, and the seed represents the Word of God that He plants and is trying to get into our life every day.

Everything was great—the food was delicious, the house festively decorated, cousins played well together, and siblings were kind to one another.
