About this deal

The olfactory pleasure continues into the dry down with a nice fresh vetiver accord that is not overly "rooty" or earthy.

I feel like I have smelled this on 80% of professional in office ladies who want something that doesn’t offend or stand out. I felt it like a cardamom+tonka concentrated bomb, similar at a lower intensity to Armani Code Profumo. As earlier indicated, the fragrance does perform very well – Lasting cleanly through entire work days with a few feet of projection around the first two hours of application and gradually growing closer and eventually resting as a skin scent which you won’t have to work very hard to locate at the end of your day.I can recognise this scent from 7829392 miles away, I've smelt it maybe once or twice on different people in passing and it still hasn't lost its charm on me. Sillage is pretty decent, not a beast but its slightly above average, a bit more smokey and darker than the original edt (almost dior homme parfum vibes to my unprofessional nose, much more mass appealing though). It performs better because it has stronger notes, but as said, there are better options if you like leather or cardamom. It is still treated as fact that YSL is a greedy awful company who is watering down their product over the years to sell more bottles and save money.

I wanted to like it more because of its association with the original La Nuit de L' Homme, but this replaces the powdery backdrop with something that smells like meat preservatives, or seasoning. I initially smelt it via a tester at Sephora, and it was love at first sniff, the cardamom gives a nice warm spicy feeling and the lavender is soothing, it's perfectly blended. Finally his divine aroma disappeared, and the whole family completely lost all attention and respect from the public.I utterly appreciate the fact that it sits close to the skin, rather than announce its arrival with a huge 'LOOK AT ME! This not because it isn't artistic or whatever banal you may think of but just because it smells wrong. Unlike the (the current) La Nuit EDT this is 'still' radiating strongly from my hand, the EDT disappears in under 10 mins to become a skin-scent for sniffer dogs alone. It’s not a performance beast, but when something smells this good it feels like a privilege to be able to bless my nostrils with the smell at all.

You could still perceive the richness and depth on a 2017 bottle, after that, it’s a stripped and massacred façade of a legendary name.LNDH is all about the soothing lavender and sweet, fizzy cardamom, held together by a dry woody undertone that lingers and becomes more prominent after the first two wear off. I have only gotten unsolicited compliments from random women on the street from this one (and Blue Electrique - which is 90% the same).

I've heard some people say that this perfume is very popular with women, but I personally don't like it very much. A word of warning-I have a sample and the liquid is bright orange/salmon pink and might stain white shirts (unconfirmed). Ok if you absolutely want to make this your signature scent than by all means go ahead and purchase every single variation of this perfume but I on the other hand choose to wear this one on really special occasions and try to find similar scents to those not so special occasions. There are plenty of scents that are close to or inspired by la' nuit so I'd rather chose those as a go to perfume or why not use something totally different all together, giving you space to play around and explore new scents. the only good sequel of la nuit is the frozen cologne, because it is the fresher version of the original. There's some fresh notes such as grapefruit and lavender which cut through the sweet tonka, cardamon and leather base. Oof I kinda expected something more leathery, but this is straight up mix of Azzaro wanted night (rotting fruityness) and original la nuit.
