Chanel No 5 will ALSO always be indispensable for me and I groupe it with these 'ladies who lunch': Jean Patous JOY, Hermès's CALèCHE (not these fucking flankers), Miss Dior (originally from 1947, I remember when I started with perfumes in 1974 when you saw Dior on the shelves they still had the 1950s and 1960s jackets on). It is another 80's powerhouse and I am beginning to think I am stuck in the eighties because that is seemingly my genre.Also at the opening I'm already smelling some patchouli, along with, yes, a swoon-inducing powdery sweetness of amber.

This enters the scene among the titans-Joop, Bijan, Coco, Clandestine, Animale, Montana, Passion, Gem, Samsara and Boucheron. Utterly charming and mysterious perfume: musky tones, lovely flowers, a touch of vanilla, warm wood.Top notes are Galbanum, Marigold, Plum, Honeysuckle and Freesia; middle notes are Nutmeg, Carnation, Pepper, Ylang-Ylang, Gardenia and Rose; base notes are Amber, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Vanilla and Musk. Without the fruit, the base and heart resembles traditional Indian incense notes (ie: my precious Super Hit Nag Champa or Patchouli Forest). I've owned many perfumes over the past 14 years, this is the only one I don't clearly remember the smell of. I can easily see an Italian classy woman, passing by Florence's renaissance buildings through a humid summery air smelling like this in late 80's.

My favorite Moschino: I adore Orientals and this one has that rare mix that smells wonderful on my skin. Ater drying down it got rounder and a bit more gentle, just like my mom's perfumes when I was little, so I have decided to give it to her, see if this grows on her more nicely. Femme by Moschino is the perfect perfume for women who want to exude elegance, charm, and confidence.I smell no flower though which is unfortunate, however, I smell something very minty in the opening.

He remembers the smell of the cupboards of my grandmother, or own his in the special days, it does that he does not find place for this perfume in my life. I first asked for a sample because I wasn't sure whether I liked spicy fragrances (I've only JUST become a perfume addict :P) and when I smelt this I just thought WOW! and it definitely sits firmly in my heart as does MOSCHINO who had a handsome but rather first, mischievous Italian face with a petite moustache. When I ventured to try just a tiny bit on skin, what a rush it was, full on citrus, warm spices, green note, sweet vanilla and sandalwood soap.

I find this fragrance to be formal, autumnal, wintery, and very long lasting, so long lasting that it's shocking when compared to the fragrances issued today. Moschino sells now very trendy fragrances that I suppose more modern generations fancy and appreciate but this one was their best by far.
