It's a good idea to keep an area with no coals so you have an area where you can shuttle your food to finish cooking by roasting. Did a mustard slather, a good dusting of seasoned pepper, and a healthy coating of Underwood's It's My Rub. At first, I wasn't too keen on the back hinge plate, thinking it would be a problem with air control but after a month of cooking on it, there has been no issues for me.

Easy enough to put together, very well made/not flimsy at all, the features such as the grill design, the temperature gauge and the ash box/tray are all excellent.But before I get into why I love the Kettleman™ let's talk about the elephant in the room - the Kettleman is not some Weber clone.

To make lighting the charcoal easy, use a chimney starter, or you can mound the briquettes into a pyramid-shaped pile. The Kettleman™’s fire grate is higher and 20% wider, you can cook a variety of food by surrounding it with a consistent low heat. The Grill grate can be cleaned easily using a nylon brush (not wire as it's porcelain) and hot soapy water just remember to give the grill grate a quick wipe over with vegetable oil shortly before placing the charcoal on it's plate below, the ash pan just slides out below the main body very, very simple !Depending on the item or the nature of the fault we may gain assistance from a third party, as chosen by us. The grate temperature can be much higher than the lid temperature due to ambient conditions and calibration of the gauge. You’ll need a spanner (which isn’t provided) and we’d suggest having another pair of hands around when attaching the legs to the drum. You can even use a pile of charcoal in the middle of the fire grate to achieve indirect heating, as long as you place your food around the outer edge.
