Alluding to whimsical and nostalgic children's stories, since this brand is a more light hearted and fun rendition to Goetze's Caramel Creams ® brand . They just don't taste as caramel-y as they used to… or maybe I expect more because I love caramel so much. I remember being hesitant at first because I'm not particularly fond of caramel, but I remember my surprise when I ended up liking it. My boys are pretty aggressive chewers and I wouldn't feel comfortable adding cow tails to the menu for them. Regarding your request for feedback below, we did try the cow tails and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I wonder if there is a way to flavor the cream to taste more like an authentic apple–that would be awesome for October! I imagine that what is in commercial cowtails is probably worse but like hotdogs, I don't SEE it being made, so I am in happy oblivion. The vertebra that is in the end of the tails is much smoother than a piece of chewed Himalayan Chew and can be swallowed and passed without incident – similar to the way it is passed by animals in the wild. Within the first 2 minutes (and my dog is small) a 2 inch piece of very hard bone interior came loose and my dog almost swallowed it.
