About this deal

You are currently visiting the United States LeapFrog site, which doesn't appear to match your current location. It moved a little too fast that if he weren't already supporting himself enough I wouldn't trust it not to shoot out from under him. The only problem with this was that unless an adult was there with him, pushing down on the walker, even though he was an already experienced walker, it would go out from under his feet, and left several bruises on his face until we learned that.

In summary, I'd look elsewhere for a walker that provides more bang for your buck, and stick to tried and true Leap favorites like the activity table! The wheels on the Leapfrog Scout and Friends Baby Walker have a small textured strip around them which makes them a lot more grippy and so the movement is far more natural. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. manipulative features include piano keys, a phone, peek-a-boo door, book page, bead spinner, high-five paw, toy gears and two dangling toys. Color-changing dome - Watch the dome light up in six different colors to enhance the music and learning. It makes for a very interesting review, mainly because Lara and her cousins have been using a version of the VTech walker at their grandparent's house ever since their first days so it is a product they recognise and have grown up with - a challenge for any new product to compete with. Packed with learning and development features, this interactive toy easily transforms from a baby gym to a floor-play activity panel to a walker with locking wheels and speed control. BabyCenter supports Group Black Opens a new window and its mission to increase greater diversity in media voices and media ownership. As long as the baby laughs and smiles, which he does then I have to say that this toy is the best for babies who are just learning to get their way around a little bit! To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

We also got her a couple of other push walker type toys to try some variety, but she had no interest what-so-ever in any other walker but the Learning Band walker. It is a toy that grows with your children, can take abusive play (haha) and the sound quality is great. These days Lara is more interested in the activities on the plate than the walker itself so she likes to take the plates off and sit with them on the floor. Grows with your child by easily transforming from a baby gym with dangling toys to a light-up activity panel and into a walker with speed control. On Nanny's VTech (which is many many years old) the wheels have worn and become shiny with age so it only moves cleanly on a carpet that offers quite a lot of resistance.

The setting for the speed are on the wheels closest to baby which means sometimes they get bumped or stepped on during use. The activity centre is great my friend had one and I borrowed hers but my daughter loves it so much I bought her one. She first started playing with it without the wheels, just using the buttons and sounds on the front of the Learning Band walker. While many children may enjoy products at different stages of their development, this rating is our suggestion for an age range which will best enjoy the product.

The wheels do have traction and the rabbit setting allows it to move on carpet; however, my son was already close to walking so it was fine. In addition, the music quality should be improved and the song should be either lengthened or varied to avoid monotony. The clip on our VTech didn't work properly so the plate kept falling off (Nanny's one doesn't behave this way); on the Leapfrog walker the plate clips off and on from the sides (very easy to do). At first my son was just trying to stand with it and when I would help him he would sit right down after getting up!BabyCenter is committed to providing the most helpful and trustworthy pregnancy and parenting information in the world.
