I admire him for being family-focused but it makes him seem even more distant, using a helicopter to leave the island and keeping his kids from much of his jungle life. He really cares about people, making the planet a better place, the environment, helping others, his family, and being a good person.Fully appreciate the people on his team mean a lot to him, but in terms of keeping this moving it’s a struggle. Maybe if there were more anecdotes about Running Wild with specific things celebrities found themselves able to do, or experiences with fame clashing with Bear’s family? Never Give Up is a great book for readers with an interest in the author or nature/travel/adventure nonfiction in general.
