It's much poppier than Homework and has most of the hits you might know by them (no "Around the World" though). The vinyl came in very safely packaged in a box bigger than I expected to prevent damage to the vinyl.

I love how shiny it is especially, there's nothing as great as owning a physical copy of an album you love so much in pristine, high quality condition. Discovery is Daft Punk's best work in my opinion, and it was vital to me in developing my taste for Electronic music as a teenager. While my opinion of that excellent piece of animation is mixed (I just didn't dig the story or think most of it matched the songs all that well), it did something to me.But that's just to smash you over the head: the Daft sound is also defined by warm, bassy synth lines, weaving their way liquidly through garage disco and house loops, all hot chocolate for the ears. This album has some of the most infectious melodies and masterful sample work in the history of music as a whole.

My other favorite tracks include "Nightvision", "Superheroes" (why do I actually think of comic book superheroes when I hear that song? They go around impersonating aliens and robots in their interviews, they put records out only once every three years, and they make music that evokes a million other artists--while not really sounding like any of them.These guys can go on for hours about who their influences are, and in fact spend much of the album doing so.
