Surprisingly, Rose is supportive, although her efforts are for nothing, Ruby plots and succeeds in them running away to London for the audition. Ruby and Garnet end up moving with Rose and their father which neither of the twins is happy about, but everything around them is changing maybe it would be better if they stopped being such a double act.

Ruby and Garnet are identical twins who do everything together, they are ten year old living with their father and grandmother, unfortunately their mother Opal is died.She has been awarded a number of prestigious awards, including the British Children's Book of the Year and the Guardian Children's Fiction Award (for The Illustrated Mum ), the Smarties Prize and the Children's Book Award (for Double Act , for which she was also highly commended for the Carnegie Medal). This book was very interesting to read even though i read it in primary i still enjoy the book i think it was a funny and interesting book i had lots of fun reading this and i would recommend to everyone it was a brilliant book i love it. Girls keeping their families going, girls trying to get away… Jacqueline Wilson’s written about them all!
