IMO, the twist really took the wind out of FROM THE EMBERS sails, and it essentially sapped away any of the tension//angst that was at play.

And all the love… My heart really was pummeled along with theirs making this one of my top reads of the year. I hate DNFING books, so I really honestly did try to power through this but I just couldn’t really do it in the end. I think this WOULD have worked better if their was an inclination of Rob being alive so that this wasn’t so left field. This author excels when it comes to the angsty, emotional, heart gripping stories and this one is no different. not only was the mini-twist really well done, but the whole "dress thing" really put a whole new meaning on BFFs swapping clothes.Not only that but I feel by totally discussing this authors’ work in bullet points would be demeaning, as she has such great imaginative creativity, I could not do it literal justice.
