Gucci EDP has quite low to nonexistent projection even from the initial spray, and I have to put my arm directly underneath my nose to smell it when I first apply it, so it’s very faint but has presence (at least for a full hour lmao) whereas with Mademoiselle, I get actual strength from it, and can at least catch wafts of it radiating off my skin for a couple of hours. This isn't to say the smell is bad(it is perfect) I just cant pin point some notes that are supposed to be in here. Packaging (Bottling): 4 out of 5 – Much thought seems to have gone into the packaging; it’s attractive and highly functional. The perfume was announced as a floral chypre, with a fruity opening of exotic guava, beautiful Haitian Tiare flower in the heart, and patchouli, musk and honey in the base.

I wonder if there's something wrong with my sample, or this fragrance just doesn't work with my body chemistry at all. For a floral, daytime fragrance, Gucci Bloom is the perfect choice, with notes of jasmine and the Rangoon creeper, which is use for the first time in any perfume. The opening of this scent is almost minty, the cypress and violet really play nicely off of each other and the citrus is present, but restrained.

The perfume is characterized as a modern chypre woody and includes notes of bergamot, cypress and violet in the top, the heart containing tobacco leaves and jasmine and the base notes consisting of patchouli, amber and Elemi – incense which is not derived from wood. I passed this because of the performance, but the scent is so amazing that I can't resist it anymore.

I was able to get a vintage bottle of this recently and my friend bought a current bottle and we compared them, they smell similar at first spray on top, but the drydown of the vintage is amazing where the current formulation falls flat, and smells like BO.

I really do enjoy this bottle but I tend to run out of juice pretty fast as this is my second bottle. It has a romantic vibe, it is tailored by a hand that knows very well how to bring delicacy in a perfume into the same place with elegance and masculinity. Gucci by Gucci must be placed alongside the other sacred monsters of the house, Pour Homme, Envy and Rush.the performance is the main downside of this scent, the projection and longevity are slightly below average. It's hard to compare these because I can only handle these scents once or month or more, but I do like them occasionally. Perfect for autumn or winter - day or night (but like, a cozy night in or a really low key cozy bar, not a date night or "night out" scent). Projection (Sillage): 3 out of 5 – moderate; Only people in your near vicinity can smell your scent, unless you’ve just sprayed it. Gucci smells really masculine and you get tobacco, patchouli, cypress and bergamot with some other notes mixed in.

Either way, Gucci comes with a powerful burst of patchouli which later reveals a beautiful cool toned, almost icy tiare flower scent which starts dominating the overall composition. Its aroma gives me a certain serenity, when I have insomnia, I apply a little on my wrist and immediately feel calm, maybe it is the incense note and/or its balsamic accord. The bottle is already in the major leagues of design, perfect for collection even if you don't like the contents. Base notes of brown sugar and patchouli are wrapped in white gardenia, jasmine and pear blossom for a sweet finish – and housed in the label's distinctive bottles.The only thing is it has pretty bad projection and less than moderate performance, at least so far while I've had it. On the skin last quite a bit, maybe a few hours due to the reformulations instead I recommend it to be sprayed on clothes. The sharpness of the perfume seems to come from the bergamot, which opens up and becomes distinct after a few minutes, yet it doesn't overtake the complex nuance of tobacco and green notes. I can spray 3-4 sprays on the back of my hand and it is a skin scent within 15 mins, and gone within an hour.
